HOPE                                                                            FEAR  Anticipation is the action of anticipating something or expectation of something to happen. Most people anticipate happy experiences. Hope is the anticipation of something good happening. Fear is the anticipation of something bad, often the anticipation of loss. This behavior model have a trade-off relationship when it comes to performing behaviors. Here’s the 2 sides of Anticipation: One side is hope and the other side is fear.

People  like  to  be  part  of  a  group.  People  will  do  things  that  it  has  a  sense  of  group  identity.      People  love  to  increase  their  self  awareness  by  being  part  of  a  community  and  they  normally  tends  to  act  in  the  sense  of  social  coalition.      

This behavior model have a trade-off relationship when it comes to performing behaviors. Here’s the 2 sides of Belonging: One side is rejection and the other side is acceptance.

ABILITY EQUALS SIMPLICITY

By focusing on Simplicity of the target behavior you increase Ability.

Simplicity make the target behavior easier to do. Don’t make a simple task complicated because simplicity increases ability and you decrease the perceived difficulty of the conversion action that you want your users to take.

FACILITATORS Facilitators mean that you are making an action or process easy or easier. Triggers might seem simple on the surface, but they can be powerful in their simplicity. An effective Trigger for a small behavior can lead people to perform harder behaviors. Enabling triggers, applied where there is high motivation but low ability.

SIGNAL This trigger type works best when people have both the ability and the motivation to perform the target behavior. The signal doesn’t seek to motivate people or simplify the task. It just serves as a reminder.    

A prompt, applied where both motivation and ability are high.

SPARKS When a person lacks motivation to perform a target behavior, a trigger should be designed in tandem with a motivational element. A sparks can range from text call to action that highlights fear to videos that inspire hope.
