The IMT was propounded in 1995 by Adhiyamaan Educational & Research Institutions (Trust). The Two-year full time MBA Programme is affiliated to Maharshi Dayanand University, Rohtak and approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). This programme provides the students the platform to imbibe procedural, theoretical and applied aspects of management and also develop a creative and cognitive attitude on practical business management.

The first year exposes the student to all areas of business, developing a holistic appreciation of business functions. It allows the student to gauge their interests and potential in various functional domains. After the first year, they do an internship project in an industry of their choice.

The students specialize in two streams of their choice as offered by the University.

The Dissertation projects undertaken by the students during the fourth semester are strategically designed to give them a strong foothold into topical subjects of industry concern.

These projects, accomplished with able guidance of mentors at the Institute, have even influenced several corporate fraternities to consider and adopt students’ suggestions profitably, even offered jobs to the students in their mid-course.

The Department of Computer Applications was established in the year 1998. Master of Computer Application (MCA) is a 3 year full time degree course duly approved by AICTE and affiliated to Maharshi Dayanand University, Rohtak. However, in case of

ndLateral Entry (Direct 2 year), it is of 2 years duration and applicable for the students holding BCA/B.Sc. (Computer Sc/IT). The vision of the Department is to strive for excellence in education for the realization of a vibrant and inclusive society through knowledge creation and dissemination.

The MCA programme is standardized and is divided into six semesters. The first five semesters offer the students a strong foundation in both theory as well as practical. The sixth semester requires the students to undergo live project training in reputed industries / institutions. The curriculum of the MCA programme is a fine blend of conventional theoretical knowledge and technical skills which enables the students to cope up with the growing demands and the changing trends of the software industry. The educators at the Institute are well versed with technical knowledge and skills and always strive to pursue academic excellence through their quality teaching.

The Department also has a well-equipped laboratory consisting of state-of-the-art computers with the latest configurations

and software for imparting hands-on practical knowledge to its students. All computer systems are connected through LAN and Wi-Fi connectivity is provided for the benefit of students as well as faculty members. The students are provided fundamental knowledge on various platforms such as LINUX, UNIX, DOS, and Windows. They also have the opportunity to work on different programming languages, visual software and internet development tools. Since its inception in 1995, the Institute has organised many conferences both National as well as International. In the year 2010 to strengthen quality of technical education, the Institute organised International Conference on Business Intelligence - An Alignment of IT and Management on 09th April, 2011. Thereby in the year 2012, International Conference on Innovations in Management & IT ICIMIT 2012 was organized. Following year witnessed the International Conference on Reinventing Thinking Beyond Boundaries to Excel, which aimed at facilitating a new message that is an essential part of the work and something to help transform individuals, teams, organizations, economy & society; create a thrivable work culture leading to achieve the ‘Impossible’. The papers for publication in the Book titled Conference Proceedings “International Conference on Reinventing Thinking Beyond Boundaries to Excel”, bearing ISBN 978-93-5104-880-0, was released at the conference after a thorough and strict approval by the National & International Review Board.

In the year 2017, we organized “International Conference on A Journey Towards Platinum Era- Vision Rainbow Power of India” (ICPVRPI 2017), on 07th & 08th April, 2017 which focused on the vision and dream of our Honorable Prime Minister of developing RAINBOW POWER OF INDIA that will become the pivot of most initiatives in the lead to the year 2022.

In all the conferences we received massive participation from all over India such as Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkatta, Sonepat, Panipat, Gurgaon, Jallandhar, Aligarh, Roorkee, Greater Noida, Mathura, Kashmir, Nagpur, Allahabad, Jodhpur, Dehradun, Ranchi, Lucknow, Assam, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chennai, Trichy and International participation from: Canada, Australia, New York, Bangladesh, Mexico and many others. Exceptional papers were recommended for submission to the Vision International Journal (ISSN 2231-3311).

NATIONAL & INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCES

IMT ANNUAL CONVOCATIONThe Annual Convocation was graced by Smt. Meira Kumar, as Chief Guest, at NCUI, Khel Gaon Marg, New Delhi. A gathering of around 355-425 Graduands, Guests and people from media and press were present.

Stressing the need for greater convergence of industry and academia, the RDC Cell of IMT Faridabad, aims at organizing varied series of lectures, workshops etc., for the enrichment and development of the students on a regular basis. The aim of this initiative is to highlight the areas where action can be initiated in education sector, social sector and corporate sector for effective orientation to Responsible Management Education and Practice.

INDUSTRY ACADEMIA CONVERGENCE

We at IMT mooted the idea of starting a Magazine in the year 1999, Vision Beyond, in joint efforts of the students, alumni, corporate delegates & a core group of faculty members. Then in the year 2011, the Institute launched its International Journal VIJ Vision International Journal ISSN 2231-3311.

VIJ: Vision International Journal, represents the culmination of efforts from many people who believe that management and computing education publication deserves proper exposure and recognition. Our desire is to make the Journal not only attractive but also informative to all the members. Till date six Issues have been released and circulated in all the parts of the Indian sub - continent and Internationally also to University of Nottingham, Malaysia; Presidency University Bangladesh; Curtin University Australia; University of Central Arkansas, Conway USA, University of Dammam, Saudi Arabia, Monash University, Perth, Australia and many others.
