LOOB” by Dionisio M. Miranda, SVD in Sikolohiyang Pilipino

Page 5: Improving Health Seeking Behaviors

The Information and Experiences that a person encounters in life affect the formation of his/her Pagkatao and Katauhan. Experiences have deeper, more lasting impact especially on Katauhan (Character).

All four processes (Malay, Dama, Isip, and Bait) contribute to the formation of the person’s Loob (Core).

Loob is the basis of Kilos or meaningful Action (as differentiated from the simpler, more routine Gawa or activity)

Behavioral Change results from learning - new experiences, new information, new skills which they give personal and cultural meaning (Senge) or Dama – how do you feel and Malay – what does the new experience, information and new skills mean to you?
