Jeremie Bellemore
St. Andrews Great Outdoors Junior Leader
Jeremie Bellemore aged 17, has been a member of St. Andrews 4-H Club since he was 8 years old. He didn’t just join
4-H he was born into it, as both his parents are 4-H leaders. He is currently in Welding, Fisheries and Great Outdoors
projects. Jeremie is also a Junior Leader for Great Outdoors and has led Archery sessions with his club as well as on
Earth Day in Mabou, Cape Breton. Archery and fire starting are two of Jeremie’s favourite things to teach 4-H
members. Jeremie has stated that, “One of the great things about archery is seeing the confidence grow every time
you hit the target.” He is very active in both Club and County activities and has attended the St FX Leadership
Conference held at St FX in Antigonish County. He also participated on a 4-H Exchange and last year represented his
County as the Antigonish County 4-H Host. Jeremie will be graduating from high school this year and will be
attending NSCC in the fall.
Do you know an outstanding member or leader in your club? We would love to hear from them!

I am currently in my third year as a project leader for the St.
Andrews 4H Club, although I have led projects for seven years while I
was a member before officially becoming a leader. I was a 4-H member
for 12 years being involved in a variety of livestock and non-livestock
projects, participating in Club, County, Provincial and National events
during that time including the Royal Winter Fair and Agribition.
I completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from
St FX University in 2017 and am set to graduate with a Bachelor of
Education degree from St FX this Spring, and will then begin my career
as a high school math and science teacher. The skills that I have gained
through the 4-H program have assisted me in completing my degrees
and have influenced my career choice. These skills that 4-H promotes
are a major reason why I transitioned into being a project leader at a
young age. Being in the mentor and leadership role of a project leader
is extremely rewarding as you get to see first-hand the development of
these valuable skills that 4-H has to offer in your members.
Jordan Vosman
Poultry, Waterfowl and Goat Leader with St.
Andrews 4-H Club
“I encourage any senior members who are about to conclude their
4-H careers to transition into a project leader role for your club!”
