• Rail Baltica project Warsaw-Kaunas-Riga-Tallinn-Helsinki awarded as a Priority Project No. 27.

• Government decree on Long term Transport Development Strategy emphasizing the importance of Rail Baltica to the development of railway network.

• Coordinated and agreed applications by Estonia, Latvia, Poland and Lithuania submited and funding provided by the TEN-T Fund according EC Decisions for the Rail Baltica project.

16 Sept 2013 – Joint Declaration on RB Implementation and enhanced cooperation signed by the Ministers for Transport andendorsed by Baltic States Prime ministers:

-Vilnius shall be connected with Rail Baltica;-newly created railway infrastructure in the states will remain the property of states;-In the order of 85% funding from CEF should be granted for RailBaltica;-to engage every reasonable effort in order to render the JointVenture operational by 1 January 2014.
