They help deliver integrated services to meet all of a person’s needs. Humankind values the additionalskills, experience and knowledge that partners canbring to our services and service users. Partnershipworking is embedded in our business model.

Our approach to partnership working

Our services cut across criminal justice, drug andalcohol recovery, learning and employment, housingand support for children and families. But we couldn’tdo what we do without working in partnership. We seeeveryone who helps to achieve success for ourservice users as a partner. They may be the serviceuser themselves, their Support Worker, a parent orfriend, our commissioners or organisations wecontract with.

Meeting specific needs

Our contract delivery partnerships comprise the

highest knowledge and skill of specialist deliveryareas with local knowledge and expertise.

We recognise that delivering the highest qualityservices is the most important factor, for serviceusers and for us as a provider. Therefore, we modeleach partnership around the specific needs andaspirations of the service users, carers, families andcommunities which we serve in each of our contracts.

We passionately support giving a voice to localorganisations who know their communities well andensuring their sustainability despite the challengingeconomic/commissioning environment.  This hasdriven our work in engaging and supporting smallerorganisations, sharing information and resources, and identifying how best our organisations can work together to improve what our services offer to our service users, their families and theircommunities.  This is a working practice whichHumankind proudly advocates.

Strong partnership working. To us, multi-agency partnerships are incredibly important.

I feel proud when I get all ofmy jobs finished and know I have been a big help to Jillas I love working as part of a team. Things on my jobslist are washing up and putting the dishes away;clearing and re-setting the tables; stocking the fridge

with cold drinks cans; filling the salt and pepper potsand stocking up the take-out cutlery and napkins. It’s been fantastic working here. I have learnt lots of different things. Jill has a training programme forme to work through. She teaches me the job thenwatches me do the job by myself a few timescorrectly before she signs it off as completed. I havelearnt how to use the coffee machine and can makea cappuccino and a latte. Jill has also shown me howto clean the different areas properly. I have startedstaying back longer on a Friday when we clean all thefridges and stock is rotated. This helps Jill a lot asshe does a weekly stock take on a Friday as well.”
