EL SHADDAI CHARITABLE TRUST

02 El Shaddai I Impact Report 2021

El Shaddai presently has seven residential Homes, three Day Care Centres, three Community Centres, Destitute Women and Men’s shelters, eight schools, and Cottages for seniors. Times of uncertainty invite us to open our minds to new possibilities. Months of pandemics and crises around the world have provided us with new lenses through which we see a different life

During this period El Shaddai has been extensively working to reach out to the poorest of the poor with the distribution of meals, dry ration kits, sanitisers, masks, pads, stationery, tarpaulin sheets, COVID aid kits to the poor, marginalized and affected.

Homeless beneficiaries are identified across the major cities and slums of Goa. One of the worst hit places is Goa alone, affecting hundreds of vulnerable families, children and individuals.

El Shaddai has ensured daily sustenance for the children and people, making sure no one has to sleep on an empty stomach.

03 El Shaddai I Impact Report 2021

El Shaddai, Goa was badly affected by the Tauktae cyclone. Our homes, shelters and centres were badly affected creating havoc. With your support and help the homes, centres and shelters were restored.

15 days Boxing camp was held for 80 children with Goa Amateur Boxing Association, headed by SAG coach Mr Nilesh Kanolkar. Children are setting aim to play at the state level too.

Yoga camp was conducted from 15th Feb headed by Yoga Instructor Mr Sandeep Morajkar. Yoga is helping our children to manage their anxiety, emotional regulation, enhance concentration & memory, their strength and flexibility, and how to be disciplined.

Leadership and personality development classes are held for the older children conducted by the Managing Trustee. It is certainly benefiting our older children in building a strong personality that focuses on solutions rather than the problem.

Children participated in the tree plantation ceremony organized in the Norma House with the aim to educate the children to care for the environment by making a deliberate effort to be part of the change. Stressing to “Go Green” means to pursue knowledge and practices that can lead to more environmentally friendly and ecologically responsible, which can help protect the environment.
