During the last week of

March a team traveled

to Haiti, and their main

purpose was to rebuild

the kitchen at the Chil-

dren’s Home. The cost

of this project was cov-

ered by very generous

donations to Imagine

Missions, due to the tre-

mendous need.

One team arrived earlier

than the other to pro-

cure the materials

needed. Doing this in

Haiti is a job unto itself

and lasted all week

long. They also began

to tear out the old rot-

ted cupboards. When

the second part of the

team arrived, they were

all ready to set block for

the bases of the island

and counters. Drains

were dug into the floor

and outside trenches

needed to be dug. This

was a huge job as well.

Concrete countertops

were installed, and the

old stainless double sinks

were cleaned and re-

used. A new refrigerator

was purchased, and a

pantry with large shelves

was built. The oven from

the former team house

was brought in, and a

chest freezer was pur-

chased through a pri-

vate donation.

There is no need to

expound on the con-

dition of the old

kitchen. The only

thing that needs to

be said is that with

Gods help, we are

able to be His hands

and feet.

It is His

good

work, and

He is able

to finish it.

We thank

everyone

for their

prayers

and donations.

We had a setback in

March when it rained

very hard for several

days. The room where

everything was packed

had water come in, so

many boxes needed

unpacked, the clothes

inside rewashed, and

then repacked. Trips

were made to the laun-

dry mat, but we’re

ready to go now.

Thank you to everyone

who donated.

The shipping project has

been an enormous ven-

ture. Our goal from the

onset was 1,000 pounds.

We are now over 4,000

pounds, and we defi-

nitely expect to be over

5,000 pounds by ship-

ment date. The ship-

ment should go out by

the end of April, and the

money to ship it has

been raised. The more

you ship, the less it costs

per pound.

Pastors Conference

May 24-June 2 Galilee church from Atlanta, GA

June 11—18 East Win church from Memphis, TN

A team from Strasburg, Ohio will be traveling to Haiti

sometime this summer, the date hasn’t been final-

ized yet.

Many hands make light work—look at those boxes!

Bowling for beds was a huge

success, not to mention a lot

of fun. 31 people bowled,

and $2,226 was raised. This

will give us the ability to

purchase 42 vinyl covered

mattresses for our young

children’s dorm.

Thank you to everyone who

supported this fundraiser, es-

pecially to Alpa Lanes for

having us.

While the last team

was in Haiti, they did a

clothing distribution at

the orphanage. Every

child received an out-

fit, clothes, and a toy;

all of which we were

able to take with us

because of the gener-

ous donations of items

and money Imagine

Missions has received.

Chris and Beth

Hostetler also brought

165 t-shirts for the chil-

dren to decorate,

along with craft kits for

making your own

yoyos and maracas.

How much fun would

that be?

God is doing wonderful things in the lives

of these children, as well as the lives of

those of us fortunate enough to help

them come to know the love of God by

providing clean water, food, an educa-

tion, and teaching them about Jesus.
