ROOT ANALYSISJAMIE, A 26 YEAR OLD SWIMSUIT MODEL, WAS ADMITTED TO A MENTAL HEALTH FACILITY IN JUNE. SHE WAS
DIAGNOSED WITH SEVERE DEPRESSION AND SUICIDAL TENDENCIES. ON HER SECOND NIGHT SHE WAS ASSIGNED TO STEVE, WHO WAS ONLY ONE OF TWO NURSES FOR TWENTY-FIVE PATIENTS. STEVE, A LICENSED RN WITH 20 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE WHO WAS KNOWN TO BE VERY KIND AND WENT ABOVE AND BEYOND WHEN IT CAME TO THE CARE OF HIS PATIENTS. WHILE UNDER HIS CARE JAMIE WAS HAVING AN EPISODE OF SEVERE DEPRESSION AND REFUSED TO LEAVE HER ROOM. WHEN STEVE CHECKED ON HER, HE FOUND HER LEANING AGAINST THE WALL ON THE FLOOR; HER HAIR A MESS, HER MAKEUP SMEARED FROM CRYING, AND HER CLOTHES DISHEVELED. WHILE IN THE ROOM STEVE USED HIS PHONE TO SNAP A PICTURE OF HER. LATER THAT NIGHT HE POSTED THE PICTURE TO A CELEBRITY BLOG WITH THE TITLE “ONCE BEAUTIFUL, NOW A MESS”. A WEEK LATER JAMIE WAS RELEASED FROM THE FACILITY IN GOOD HEALTH.
ON THE NIGHT OF HER RELEASE THERE WAS A STORY ON THE NEWS ABOUT A MODEL WHO HAD COMMITTED SUICIDE. STEVE IMMEDIATELY WENT INTO THE BLOG AND DELETED HIS POST. THOUGH HE WAS ABLE TO DELETE IT, THE POST HAD BEEN RE-CREATED ON SEVERAL OTHER WEBSITES, WHERE RUDE, MEAN, AND HATEFUL COMMENTS WERE LEFT UNDERNEATH. DAYS LATER THE ADMINISTRATOR OF THE FACILITY CALLED STEVE TO HER OFFICE, WHERE SHE LET HIM KNOW ABOUT A LAWSUIT AGAINST HIM AND FIRED HIM ON THE SPOT
