Producten gemaakt in de iMade fabriek moeten competitief zijn met traditioneel vervaardigde producten, zowel op vlak van prijs, kwaliteit als beleving.

iMade wil niet gelijkstaan aan een duurzaamheidslabel. Wel kunnen producten gemaakt in de iMade fabriek een soort van iMade “stempel” krijgen, te vergelijken met “Made in Belgium”.
