Miss Mar i l yn Guay, daughter of M r . and,Mrs. Edgar Guay J r „ w i l l receive her diploma In professional nursing at commencement exercises for the CVPH Medical Center School of Nursing at 2 p.m. on June 2 in the Plattsburgh Senior High School Audi tor ium. Bob Cox of the Peru Lions Club was one of the candidates for the t i t le of " M r . X . " The Mr . X contest was held in conjunction wi th the CVPH Junior League of the C V P H Med i ca l Center benefit variety show which was held on Fr iday and Saturday nights of last week at Hawkins Hali at Plattsburgh SUC.

ARTHUR REID Arthur Reid, 81, died Satur
day, May 12, at the CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh. He was born in ConitonvilJe on
' October 10, 1891 the s o n d f t h e ' late Richard and Viola (Strong) Reid.
He leaves a daughter, Mrs . Doris Guynup of Plat tsburgh; two sons, Roger and Floyd Reid, both of Peru; four sisters, Alice Reid of Whitehall , Mrs . Ralph Tyrel i of Peru, Mrs . Charles West of Peru and Mrs . Essa Blake of Biake Road, Peru ; three brothers, Stanley Reid of Peru, Burt Reid of Peru and Halsey Reid of Plattsburgh.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday a f te rnoon a t the Deiorme Funeral Home in Peru. The Rev. Kenneth P a r k e r , pastor of the Peru Community Church, off iciated. Bearers were E lmer D u p r e y , Ber t I r w i n , C l i f f o rd Duprey and Fred Chiappalone. Burial was in the Peru Cemetery wi th the Rev. Pa rke r read ing c o m m i t t a l prayers.

Annual Banquet The ladies of the Schuyler
Falls and Morr isonvi l le United WSCS en joyed the i r annual banquet on Tuesday evening, May 15, at the Peasleeville Methodist Church Hal l .
About 55 members and guests attended a delicious roast beef dinner which was put on by the Peas leev i l le Lad ies WSCS group.
The program was under the charge of Mrs . Louise Baiiy, president of the Schuyler Falls Women's Society. A very interesting talk and colored slides were shown by Maureen Delvin, who has been l iving in Peru wi th the McNicho las f a m i l y and attending Peru Central School for the 1972-73 school year. Miss Delvin is an American Field Exchange student here f rom South A f r i c a . She w i l l be returning to her home in South A f r i c a ea r l y i n J u l y upon g r a d u a t i n g w i t h the Peru Central graduates in June.
