Percussion coring tube -RKS-

For sampling purposes, the mast-mounted hydraulic hammer en-ables ramming of the weIl known percussion coring tubes (see leafletRKS), whereas the hydraulic puIl-up system offers 1,400 daN pullingcapacity. To overcome the usually high friction when pulling is just star-ted, a hollow jack is available offering 14,000 daN puIl-up.

Hydraulic hammer with adap-ter and hammer head on top of therods. The catching-fork on the hammerhead prevents loosening of threads du-ring hammering and is also used as apulling lock whilst retracting the rods.

Dynamic penetrometerDPL / DPM / DPH (SPT)

Provided the necessary hydraulicsare illstalled on the standard version ofthe rig -"RSB 0/1.4"-, the dynarnic pe-netrometer device is (as a unit) simplymounted to the mast by means of thewinch.Power head and hydraulic hammer areswivelled aside beforehand. The pul-ling of the sounding rods is performedby the pull up of the rig or aided bythe hollow stern jack and ball clamp.

For percussion bailing or for dri-ving drop weights for sampling, opti-onally a cable tool percussion devicemounted on top of the mast is available.
