Primary criteria

i.The primary objective and aim of a social

enterprise is to promote social well-being . Asocial enterprise acts responsibly.ii.Limited distribution of profits . A socialenterprise uses most of its profits for the benefitof society either by developing its ownoperations or by giving a share of its profits tocharity according to its business idea.iii.Transparency and openness of business

operations. In order to assure transparency, thecompany applying for the mark must write downits social goals and limited distribution of profitsin the company’s articles of association or rules.

Secondary criteria

•promoting the well-being of employees anddeveloping ways for the personnel to get theirvoice heard•paying special attention to those belonging tovulnerable groups•demonstrating the company’s social effects
