“Seyfarth Shaw, LLP (a global law firm based out of Chicago) relocated their Houston offices to the 14th and
15th floors of Pennzoil Place. JCS, Rottet Studio, Seyfarth Shaw and Teknion partnered to create the new
beautiful and innovative space.
Rottet Studio took a unique approach to planning the offices and collaboration spaces, dedicating the 15th
floor to the attorney offices, reception, and primary conference spaces with the 14th floor used for reception
and conference overflow.
One of the unique features of some of the attorney offices is that even though they are interior offices, they
receive natural light from the outer windows. This is due to a unique staggered layout of the interior and
exterior offices.
Rottet Studio custom designed height adjustable Teknion private office furniture (working with Teknion to
modify Teknion’s “Dossier” wood series) for the attorneys, and the open plan areas were designed using
Teknion systems furniture. Suite-matched maple veneers add to the light scale feel and also brighten the
space.
Rottet Studio incorporated eclectic pieces from Arper, Bernhardt, Allermuir, Nucraft, Vitra and Davis to create
a fun and funky “Attorney Office of the Future.” Light neutral paints, mixed patterned carpets from J&J
Carpet, FSC certified Nydree Flooring and contrasting Tamo Ash Veneers completed the look for a multi-
faceted appeal that is unique and inviting.
We enjoyed working with Rottet Studio, Cushman and Wakefield and Turner Construction, as well as with
Seyfarth’ s own talented team of internal move experts.
Our efforts were duly rewarded when Rottet Studio was awarded a 2014 AIA Houston Design award in July of
2014. Congratulations to Rottet Studio (and thanks for allowing JCS and Teknion to be a part of this very
successful project)!”
