10 Reasons Why YOU Should Choose
IHM Football Academy
We are selective - we only accept applications from players who demonstrate the right character as well as an academic motivation and commitment to their education. We will only enrol those players who have already reached a high level of playing ability and are regularly playing club, school or college football.
Our coaches are UEFA qualified and also coach at professional clubs from Premier League to semi-pro. Most of our coaches are also ex-professional footballers having played for; Man-chester City, Chelsea and Liverpool.
Our football academy is affiliated to the FA (Football Association).
US Soccer Scholarships – in partnership with “Soccer Assist” we provide help, trials and guidance for student players who wish to play US university soccer, study for a degree and receive subsidised fees.
We communicate regularly and effectively with players and parents: We provide termly reviews to reflect upon and discuss each of our individual player’s progress during the course of the season.
10 Reasons Why YOU Should Choose
IHM Football Academy
Our Showcase Events - Twice a year,in front of invited professionalfootball club scouts and coaches, allow our players exposure to someof the top football clubs in the UK.Many young players earn trials withpro clubs as a result. Each player gets an individual player analysis from an IPSO scout.
We are accredited – by the British Council for the teaching of English in the UK and by Pearson Education for the delivery of the Level 3 BTEC in Sport Performance. Abbey College & Ellesmere College are inspected by the Independent Schools Inspector-ate.
Football Opportunities – each player is given the chance to train and play league football with local grass roots football clubs.
Our academic results – are excellent across the board; GCSE, BTEC, A levels, IB & IELTS. Advice & counselling regarding university entrance is available.
Our scout & coach network – IHM works closely with the International Professional Scouting Organisation – the world’s leading provider of football analysis and scouting courses (www.ipsofootball.com). We also have good working links with scouts and coaches from local clubs of all levels.
VEO – video analysis Remote controlled multi-view video recording of each competitive match. This enables the Head Coach to conduct post-match video analysis with the squad. Also, online links to all match footage / highlights and individual player edits are available for each player.IPSO ScoutsThis year IHM Football Academy partnered with the InternationalProfessional Scouting Organisation. IPSO are world leaders in football scout tuition and training and have links with many professional and semi-professional clubs in the UK and around the world.

Entry Level Football Club Placement From September 2019 every player will be given the opportunity to join a local FA affiliated grass roots football club. This will give players extra training and opportunity to earn a place in a team and play regular league football.
Diet & Nutrition Diet & nutrition advice is woven into academy life. The importance of a good diet and how to manage nutrition is stressed at all times and integrated into academy life.
US Soccer Scholarships With our partnership with Soccer Assist we can give every player the chance to win a scholarship to study at a US university or college whilst playing league soccer throughout.
Player Success Our players take different routes on graduation from IHM. Some have signed pro-club youth academy contracts in the UK and abroad. Others have gone onto to study at a UK university whilst playing semi-pro football. Others have signed pro club contracts with non UK clubs, whilst some have already won soccer scholarships with prestigious US universities.
Showcase your Football Skills to Pro-Club Scouts & Representatives- Train and play in front of official scouts and pro-club representatives - all levels of club – UK and abroad- IPSO scouts observe and report back on each player- Successful players are invited by the scout to attend a trial directly at the club- A club trial gives an extended opportunity for a player to impress- Club trial format may differ from club to club
