Golconda Fort Golconda is one of the most famous forts of India. The name comes from the Telugu words ‘Golla Konda’ meaning ‘Shepherd’s Hill’. Golconda was originally a mud fort, which was rebuilt by the first three Qutb Shahi kings over a period of 62 years. The fort is well known for its acoustics among other attractions like the palaces. The exclusive Sound & Light Show takes you right back in time.

Shopping Delight for Delegates Hyderabadi pearls & bangles Pearls from all over the world are said to come to Hyderabad,

because the artisans here are skilled in piercing and stringing pearls without damaging them. Hyderabad was a princely state and a very rich one too! The royal patronage beckoned many a craftsman from the Arabian Gulf, where rare original pearls are found in abundance.

Zardozi - Embroidery Work A Specialty of Hyderabad is zardozi (Silk thread and cord)

embroidery work. There is an amazing collection of embroidered sarees, Lacchas (Long tops paired with long skirts and dupatta), ghagra and cholis (skirt and blouse), salwar kameez and even sandals with embroidery work.

Sarees (Traditional India Attire) Hyderabad has sarees to please every woman, in the world. Ikkat

saris are the famous ones that are locally woven. However handloom sarees from all over the country are available in abundance locally.
