For example, LEAP is a proprietary framework that is designed to identify leadership skills for every role in the organization. Through this leadership model, we identify the competencies required by iGATE leaders across various levels of the company. We do this by defined processes which identify untapped talent and promote leadership skills.

The mandate for the iGATE Center for Organization Development and Leadership is: Creation of Human Resource Development Culture and Climate, Identification, Development, and Renewal  of iGATE Leadership Competency Framework, Development of multilayered Leadership by deploying Leadership Competency  Framework, Leveraging Leadership for achievement of iGATE Vision, Mission, Objectives and Values, Identifying, Defining, and Nurturing Behavioral Competencies, Organizational Diagnostics and Surveys and Change Management.

Learning

The continually learning temperament now forms part of the intrinsic iGATE culture. Given the dynamic nature of the IT industry, we understand the need to be up-to-date with the latest technologies and business practices. Accordingly, we have configured our training and development programmes which are designed to transform each individual into a world-class professional. At other times, employees are cajoled to give full expression to their creative and extra-curricular activities. At iGATE, we know who is a good outswing bowler a la Kapil Dev, who can give Vishwanathan Anand a run for his money in chess, or who can guzzle the largest number of beer cans at any party or pub.

People Initiatives

Great organizations are built by exceptional people. This is a truism which we hold dearly and believe in wholeheartedly. FwdFwd is the in-house quarterly magazine of iGATE which highlights the achievements of the iGATE Teams, their celebrations and their creative works.

eDudeeDude is the mascot of iLEARN. He represents all learning at Patni. Some e-Learning modules brought to the employees’ desks under this banner are: ‘Express Learning Capsule’, ‘Technology Pickup’, and ‘Net Learning Times’.

e-Caree-Care provides a single point of contact for employees for addressing their queries, grievances, and concerns to respective section heads.

Onsite InsightThrough this initiative, an employee working at the client location (which could be anywhere in the world) can get information on country guides, policies, appraisal systems and even avail of documented knowledge management practices in iGATE at their respective locations. This initiative is aimed at acclimatizing people to their new work environments in overseas locations.

Bring your BuddyThis is an attractive incentive-based employee scheme which encourages iGATE-ites to refer their buddies or friends to join iGATE.

ASPIREThis initiative is driven by our Internal Job Posting (IJP) process — aimed to offer a fair and equitable opportunity of internal mobility. Enabling employees to fulfill their aspirations, this initiative is targeted towards providing job-satisfaction.

Compensation

Apart from providing competitive remuneration and benefits to attract and retain talent in the organization, we have a variable based component in the salary structure. This is based on the performance of the employee and his contribution to the growth of the organization.
