Dear Peter, Susan and Meagan,
Firstly on behalf of Brian and myself very many thanks ¥o youall for your kindness and hospitality, it was very much appreciated and it
made our hoilday.Thank you.
I was hoping to get to the libary of the SOG before writing toyou but on Saturday they were closed for a day conference and so I will
have to try again later in the month.
I have enclosed a few things that I found in the Bishopsgate
institute in london near where I work. They have started to build up a very
good reference libary.mainlY,I think because the libarian is the projectsorganis~er for the E~~t of London Family history society.
There are also some Langtree census returns that I had but I
that you will have them all. I notice from the notes that you gave me beforethat Peter Whitlock was at New Olds Sutton as was that Thomas Whitlock that (I~"·f)you belived was x;x married to Elizabeth Richards.I think you will find that
he was actually living with Peter Whitlock and I believe he was your Great GreetGrandfather.
With regards to the st Catherines house things, next time I am inDevon, hopefully in the early part of the new year I will try to look at the
19ter Langtree registers for Peter Whitlock's funeral.
Also in my notes was the marriage of Thomas Whitlock to Rebecca
Holman at Langtree on 3 April 1778,Witness John Whitlock.I think this Thomasbaptised 1755 •. M-
How did your seminar go OK I hope. Anyway If I get anythimg new
from the SOG I will write again soon.
Many thanks once again for letting us shay. Best regards to all,
