On 4th Feb. 2016 the guest lecture was organized for TE students regarding the Formation of
IETE Student Forum to give the guidelines to students regarding the formation of IETE
student forum.

Activity Details:
The Institute has applied for IETE Organizational Membership on 8th March 2016 through
IETE Pune Centre.
The institute has been enrolled as a Life Organizational Member of IETE on 14th April 2016
and the Organizational Membership no. is G00505. The Institute has received the IETE
Organizational Membership Certificate dated 14th April 2016.

Name of Activity: National Conference on Advancements in Communication,
Computing and Electronics Technology [ACCET-2017]
Activity Details: The IETE approved 4th National Conference on ‘Advancements in
Communication, Computing and Electronics Technology [ACCET-2017]’ was organized by the
Department of E&TC Engineering during March, 2nd & 3rd 2017. There has been a huge response to
the call-for-papers for the Conference ACCET-2017. Around more than 80 numbers of full length
papers have been received from the researchers, academicians and industry persons of the leading
organizations, institutes and industries, not only from Maharashtra like Nasik, Kolhapur, Baramati
and Pune region, but also from out-states places such as Goa and Jalandhar. A committee of more
than 25 reviewers put in their efforts to filter 58 good quality technical papers out of approximately
80 received ones. The observations and suggestions by the reviewers were helpful to the authors for
further improvements in their papers. The conference was approved by IETE Pune centre. Alike last
year, this year too we have had collaboration with Institute of Research and Development (IRD)
India. Our selected paper is published in International Journal of Electrical, Electronics and
Computer Systems (IJEECS), both 'on-line' as well as in 'print' form. In order to motivate the
participants, we have announced the 'Best Paper Award' for the papers from each category. By and
large these technical papers added a true value in current research and development trends in the
field of Communication, Computing and Electronics Engineering.
On the first day of the conference, i.e. on Thursday, 2nd March 2017, the Inaugural Function was
arranged at 10 am in Seminar Hall 509. Prof. A. A. Dhavlikar, the conference co-ordinator, gave the
introductory speech and greeted the dignitaries and the participants. The inaugural function was
hosted by Prof. Jasveer Singh Jethra . The function was started with 'Saraswati Poojan' by the
dignitaries on the dias. Chief Guest and the Guest of honour were felicitated by the Principal and
Vice-Principal.
Dr. P. P. Mane, the conference co-ordinator, presented the key points about the conference in her
welcome address. Later the unveiling of the IJEECS- Proceedings and the conference Souvenir was
taken place. Prof. P. B. Chopade, H.O.D., E & Tc. encouraged the participants with his motivating
speech. Dr. A. J. Hake, Life Member, M. E. Society elaborated the significance of paper
presentation and publication. Dr. V. N. Raibole, Life Member of M. E. Society gave best wishes to
ACCET-2017. Principal Dr. A. A. Keste mentioned the importance of the conference in his speech.
The function was also graced by the Guest of honour and the key-note speaker Dr. Shankar Nawale,
Principal, NBN Sinhgad College of Engineering, Solapur. The audience were addressed by Chief
Guest, Prof. Dr. D. S. Bormane, Principal, AISSMS COE, Pune and Co-ordinator, BOS,
Electronics, SPPU, Pune.

Report of Activity:
The department of E&Tc has organized the inauguration of IETE Student Forum on 7th September
2017 at 11.00 AM to 12.00 PM in Seminar Hall 509. The inaugural function was hosted by Mr.
Shubham Choubey and Mr. Bhargav Deshpande, students of TE E&TC. The function was started
with 'Saraswati Poojan' by the dignitaries on the dais. Chief Guest and the Guest of honour were
felicitated by the Principal and Vice-Principal. Mr. Shubham Choubey and Mr. Bhargav
Deshpande presented the key points about the IETE students forum in their welcome address
followed by unveiling of the Memento of IETE student’s forum.
The audience were addressed by Chief Guest Shri G K Dawara (Chairman- IETE, Pune) on
activities carried out by IETE Pune Centre. Shri. K. R. Shende addressed the audience on the topic
'Energy Resources' followed by the addressing of Prof. S. K. Khedkar.

Name of Activity: National Conference on Advancements in Communication,
Computing and Electronics Technology [ACCET-2018]
Activity Details: The 5th National Conference on ‘Advancements in Communication, Computing and Electronics
Technology [ACCET]’ was organized by the Department of E&TC Engineering during [March 22-
23, 2018]. There has been a good response to the call for papers of the National Conference
ACCET-2018. Around more than 55 numbers of full length papers have been received from the
researchers and academicians of the leading institutes and organizations from in and out of
Maharashtra. However, only about 46 quality papers have been finally selected based on the
recommendations of reviewers for presentation and 48 for inclusion in the proceedings.

Name of Activity: SHODH-2018 (State Level Project Competition & Exhibition
in Association with CSI, IETE, SAEINDIA)
Details of Activity: Modern Education Society’s College of Engineering, Pune organized a State
Level Project Competition & Exhibition - SHODH 2018 in association with CSI,IETE, SAEINDIA
on 27th Mar. 2018. Students from engineering colleges all over Maharashtra showcased their
projects in this event. Students from various disciplines in engineering participated in this
competition. The projects were evaluated by professionals from industry as well as academicians.
The contestants were judged in two rounds on various criteria where they demonstrated their
projects and ideas.
Objectives of SHODH 2018 1. To provide an excellent opportunity to the students to showcase their talent, research
orientation and untapped potential.
2. To provide networking opportunity with industries that can help create breakthroughs.
3. This may result to turn engineering projects into prize winning entries and may transform
project into commercial products. It will help the students to become entrepreneur.
