A modular toolkit

IDRS™ is composed of different modules you can choose in order to implement your own application

1. Imaging module Load and save pictures in formats such as BMP, PNG, TIFF, PDF and JPEG. JPEG2000 and JBIG 2 are also available as extensions.

2. Pre-processing module Apply image enhancements such as despeckle, deskew and document rotation. The optional Advanced Pre-processing module also features dark border removal, line removal, color dropout, etc.

3. Mobile Capture Capture images from mobile devices running on iOS or Android using our automated image quality control features such as corner detection, size of target area, quality assess-ment but also hardware checks such as document exposure, camera focus and device stability. Thanks to this the device only allows end-user to take a picture when minimum specs are met.

4. Text Recognition module Recognize 137 languages with the following as add-ons:

– Asian – Hebrew – Arabic and Farsi – Banking Fonts – ICR

5. Barcode Recognition module Decode many 1-D barcode types in standard and add-ons are available for:

– PDF417 type – QRCODE type – EVO I engine: secondary engine used as a complement to the main one, enabling the

system to choose the best solution for improved accuracy on most barcode types. – Datamatrix type

6. Document Output module The Document Output module allows to export the recognized data to various output formats such as PDF (text, image-text, text-image and im-age), PDF/A, HTML, XML, RTF, TXT, ODT, WordML, SpreadsheetML, CSV, DOCX, XLSX and XPS. The optional iHQC™ extension (intelligent High Quality Compression) - a patented hyper-com-pression technology by IRIS – enables you to:

– Reduce the size of PDF, PDF/A and XPS files (color or black and white) dramatically

– Generate better quality than JPEG 2000 with much smaller files

– While maintaining perfect image quality and text legibility
