YOUTHFUL INVOLVEMENT
• Youthful involvement as a gradual process whereintergenerationalmeeting promotes equityin social relations.
• The volunteers’ decision making and undertaking of responsibilities must be progressive.
![Page 27: Idrc Ingles](https://reader034.vdocuments.site/reader034/viewer/2022052600/5574847ed8b42a7f348b4621/html5/thumbnails/27.jpg)
• It’s easier to approach
topics on sexuality in a
“virtual” manner.
• A deeper analysis is
required regarding the new
challenges of using
Information and
Communication
Technologies (ICTs) as
educational tools.
EDUCATION AMONG PEERS VIA THE
INTERNET
![Page 28: Idrc Ingles](https://reader034.vdocuments.site/reader034/viewer/2022052600/5574847ed8b42a7f348b4621/html5/thumbnails/28.jpg)
THE VOLUNTEER WORKERS SYSTEM
• Using ICTs (mainly theInternet) the link betweenedu-communication isessential throughout thestrategy.
2. The criteria to selectvolunteers must be clear.
3. The role of young promotersis vitally important duringthe whole process.
![Page 29: Idrc Ingles](https://reader034.vdocuments.site/reader034/viewer/2022052600/5574847ed8b42a7f348b4621/html5/thumbnails/29.jpg)
THE VOLUNTEER WORKERS SYSTEM
4. It is essential to work witha youth-adult alliance(young and adultpromoters andprofessionalsaccompanying thevolunteers).
5. It is essential to create a friendly atmosphere forthe volunteers.
6. Involve the volunteers in dissemination campaigns.
7. Carry out recreational, social projection, integrating, stimulatingactivities, etc.
![Page 30: Idrc Ingles](https://reader034.vdocuments.site/reader034/viewer/2022052600/5574847ed8b42a7f348b4621/html5/thumbnails/30.jpg)
REGARDING USE OF THE
INTERNET
• We acknowledge itscontribution to theexpansion of services andenquiries regardingsexuality and theprevention of HIV-aids.
• Market research isrequired (specifically thepositioning of the web) before launching theportal.
• Interaction as well as multimedia is vital toconnect with the users’interests.
![Page 31: Idrc Ingles](https://reader034.vdocuments.site/reader034/viewer/2022052600/5574847ed8b42a7f348b4621/html5/thumbnails/31.jpg)
VALIDATION PROCESSES
• The adaption or creation of new interactive validationtools is essential, that is to say, using the existingsections (such as the chat, for example).
• Previous validation of the portal by communicators andweb design specialists (technical advice)
• The validation of materials together with thebeneficiaries allows us to identify problems and makeany changes necessary as the strategy progresses.
![Page 32: Idrc Ingles](https://reader034.vdocuments.site/reader034/viewer/2022052600/5574847ed8b42a7f348b4621/html5/thumbnails/32.jpg)
HUMAN RESOURCES
• The challenges faced andthe lessons learnt resultfrom the team effort anddedication of theprofessionals, promoters andvolunteers who are part ofPunto J and IES.
• Our best strategy was thesynergy, the friendlyatmosphere and themobilization of human resources that contributetowards the constanttraining of those whomaintain the portal.
