What is ideology?
Ideology is the message that the producers of a media text aim to put across to the audience.
Audiences can interpret these messages from the producers differently and in many ways
A lot of the time there is a main intended message for the audience It is ideas, values, and beliefs in a society. It is often just known as
‘common sense’.

Ideologies are ideas that are the norm across society and are known to just be the way they are.
Ideologies are not static; they are nearly always evolving and developing
An example of this is ideology of the equality of women They are often just thought to be the ‘stereotype’.
