Pollution is the injection of harmful substances into the environment. Pollution harms human life, life of other species, and also damages historical monuments of the

country. Business activities such as production, distribution, transport, storage and consumption of goods and

services are known to be the most critical sources of environmental pollution problems. Many business enterprises have been responsible for causing air, water, land and noise pollution. Air pollution is caused due to smoke, chemical emitted by factories, vehicle etc. Air pollution has resulted in ozone depletion, which leads to climate change and global warming. Water pollution is caused due to chemicals and waste dumping into the rivers, streams and lakes. Water pollution lead to the death of several animals and poised a serious problem of human life. Land pollution is caused due to the dumping of garbage and toxic wastes which affect the fertility of

land and make it unfit for agriculture. Noise made by machines, vehicles, etc leads to noise pollution.

Business activities such as production, distribution, transport, storage and consumption of goods and services are known to be the most critical sources of environmental pollution problems. Among the various sources of pollution business is a major generator of wastes in term of both quantity and toxicity. Many business enterprises have been responsible for causing:

After the usual class procedures teacher starts the class by exhibiting some pictures of pollution and asks the students to categorize the pollution under different heads Teacher gives the following points for initiating the discussion. Lead points
