Fast Track Admission Scheme
• Being trialled at the 2 Norfolk Adoption Centres.
• Offers quicker admission to cat owners.
• Reduces costs to the charity, but still achieves our Minimum Veterinary Standards.
• Potentially means cats are in care for a shorter period of time.
• For owned cats only (not strays).
• 3 admission pens (from 18) allocated to the scheme.
![Page 6: ICAWC 2013 - Helping as Many Animals as Possible - Danielle Draper & Lindsay Tempest](https://reader034.vdocuments.site/reader034/viewer/2022050918/53f9ae5e8d7f7253318b4fe2/html5/thumbnails/6.jpg)
Fast Track Admission Scheme
• Cats must be:
– Neutered
– Vaccinated up to date
– Have seen a vet within the last 6 months and been signed off as all healthy.
• Proof must be supplied that these criteria have been met. Vets are usually happy to fax or email the cats clinical history to us if the owner requests it.
Once proof has been seen, the cat is given the next available Fast
Track pen.

Fast Track Admission Scheme
• The cat is seen by the Cats Protection vet as soon as possible and if signed off as Fit To Home (FTH), will be available for viewing immediately.
• The cat can be viewed and reserved, but cannot go home until the 7 day admission period has been completed.
• In the best case scenario, a cat can be admitted and rehomed in just 7 days.
