Learning Environment & ROE
To engender a classroom experience most conducive for
learning, the following norms are expected in the IBAAS
classroom. We affectionately refer to these guidelines as “Rules
of Engagement,” alluding to the environment in Air Combat in
Fighter Squadrons. By labeling them as such, they become an
intuitively understood set of expectations.
Rules of Engagement
Class starts and ends exactly on time. Students and faculty are
expected to be prompt.
Students sit according to a seating arrangement.
Rules of Engagement
Students remain in attendance for the duration of class, except
in an emergency.
Students display name tents.
All phones and electronic devices are turned off.
To get the most out of your IBAAS experience, preparing for and
attending classes are the most important steps you will take.
Doing so allows you to engage your classmates and professors,
advance your studies, and position yourself as a knowledgeable,
thoughtful colleague. It is with these goals in mind that we invite
you to participate actively in our “endeavor to learn.”
The IBAAS Ethics Code
The mission of the IBAAS Code of Ethics is:
To promote the growth of ethically responsible aviation
managers at IBAAS through adherence to the highest standards
of academic integrity and overall ethical conduct.
To develop a sense of individual responsibility on the part of
each member of the IBAAS community to participate actively in
maintaining such standards.
To foster an environment of honor and trust within the IBAAS
community.
The IBAAS Ethics Code
To engender respect for the ethical standards of the IBAAS
member.
Fulfilling this mission is a collective responsibility of the
members of the IBAAS community. Striving for adherence to
high standards of ethics will enhance the quality of the IBAAS
experience, will enrich the image of IBAAS and strengthen the
equity associated with the degree, and will reinforce the societal
norms of moral responsibility.
Politics and religion or any controversial topics will not be
discussed at IBAAS.

Revenue Passenger Miles (RPMs)
This is the basic measure of airline passenger traffic. It reflects
how many of an airline's available seats were actually sold. For
example, if 200 passengers fly 500 miles on a flight, this
generates 100,000 RPMs.
Revenue per Employee
One measure to determine an airline’s labor productivity. It is
calculated by dividing an airline’s total revenue by the number
of airline employee full-time equivalents as reported to the
Department of Transportation or CAA
