2018 Diploma Results● 25 IB Diplomas Awarded ● Ruijia Li earned Wilson’s first bilingual diploma. She received a diploma in
both English and Chinese.● The minimum number of points needed to get an IB Diploma is 24. The
average score of Wilson High School students who received a diploma was 29.
● The passing rate for students at Wilson on a Subject Exam was 84%. 7% points above the international average!
2nd highest pass rate in the state!
1st place has 12 students.

District News
-Primary Years Programme (PYP) at North Vista is in its Candidacy Year 1. The application for full authorization is submitted at the end of year 2.
-MYP at Williams- Improvements on the application process. Move to online application, waitlist procedures, sibling / employee policy, consistent year to year application standards and timeline.
-Updated budget proposed for all of IB for Florence 1.

North Vista:
- 26 teachers have been trained, dozen left to go before authorization in 2020- PYP consultant visit
PYP UPDATE● 42 students applied and were accepted into the program as transfer students.● 24 students transferred into North Vista for PYP in the 2018-19 school year.● As a whole school program, all 675 students are taught in a PYP framework. ● First ten weeks of school, we completed an in depth study of
the learner profile. (With one profile attribute each week, students participated in read-alouds, activities, and more)
● Join us for Learner Profile skits on November 19 & 20 at 8:30 a.m. Every grade level will be performing.
One Book/ One Community
PYP
● Teachers meet weekly with PYP Lead Teacher and academic coaches, planning the PYP transdisciplinary units of inquiry. It’s really exciting to see how the curriculum comes together.
● Students in grades 2-6 at North Vista are learning Spanish.● Learning a new language encourages our students to be open-minded and
global citizens, and is a PYP requirement from age 7.
