Math Choices (page 18)
New math curriculum from the IBO (Class of 2022 and beyond)
Mathematics: analysis and approaches SL/HL
For students interested in mathematics, engineering, physical sciences, and
some economics. For students who enjoy the thrill of mathematical problem
solving and generalization.
Mathematics: applications and interpretation SL
For students interested in social sciences, natural sciences, medicine,
statistics, business, some economics, psychology, and design. For students
who enjoy mathematics best when seen in a practical context.
Science Choices
Rising juniors need 3 NGSS science courses for graduation. IB and AP courses count as NGSS aligned, thus students are not required to take physics. However, the MISA test has Bio, Chem and Physics on it. Review of some physics topics will be necessary.
