The IAPS 2016-2017 sports programme saw 23,500 children participate in 110 events across 26 different sports. The 2017-2018 programme will see 131 events organised, from team sports such as hockey, netball, football and rugby, to individual sports including triathlon, skiing, clay pigeon shooting, judo and fencing. There really is something for everyone.

Welcome to IAPS U13 National Hockey Finals at Repton School. This year 90 schools entered the U13 competition. There were six qualifying events held across the country with the top 24 teams being invited to the National Finals. Congratulations on making it this far.

To ensure consistency across all qualifying rounds this year, IAPS has created the draw and timings for each qualifier, instead of the organisers. IAPS has consulted England Hockey to ensure that all age groups are playing within the recommended guidance. U13 children should play no more than 105 mins of Hockey per day. This has been abided to when creating the draws.

Whether this is your first time at the National Finals or you have qualified before, we hope your team enjoys the day. IAPS passionately believes in the importance of sport as part of an all-round education for its pupils. First and foremost, sport is about participation and enjoyment.

Good Luck!

Centre DevelopmentsRepton School Sports Hockey is a major sport at Repton for both boys and

girls. All pupils receive regular hockey training with one of the teams and are able to participate in school matches. Tuesdays and Saturdays are the main days for fixtures against schools, universities and senior club sides. The most talented hockey players can also opt for hockey coaching during all three terms.

Numerous Old Reptonians have gone on to play Senior International Hockey. Five ORs were selected for the Rio 2016 Olympic Games including GB’s gold medallists Georgie Twigg and Shona McCallin, and Charlotte Stapenhorst who scored the first goal in Germany’s bronze medal winning match.

Sports scholarships are available for pupils showing potential to play at regional or national level. Assessments take place in the January preceding the September intake.
