I’m Jeff, and I’m Moving Forward.Jeff had his right knee joint replaced. He needed time to heal and build up his strength while recovering after surgery. So Jeff chose to come to Washington Healthcare Center for rehabilitation prior to returning home. The therapy team not only provided a safe place for him to develop balancing skills and strengthening for his knee, they also were his number one fans! He had a complete cheering squad to ensure he did not lose his motivation to heal and return home quickly and safely.

Jeff was worried when he was first told he had to choose a rehabilitation facility prior to returning home. Once he arrived and met the members of the team at Washington Healthcare Center, Jeff’s worst fears were completely relieved. Not only did he receive excellent care in therapy, he also found the nursing team to be caring, compassionate and skilled at each task. Jeff made many new friends at Washington Healthcare Center while he completed his rehabilitation. While we were here to serve Jeff and enhance his quality of life, Jeff touched our hearts and brought joy to us while he was here for rehabilitation. The team at Washington Healthcare Center is honored to have participated in Jeff’s healing process.

I’m Moving Forward

Our Moving Forward program is designed for those striving to restore abilities lost due to stroke, cardiovascular difficulties, orthopedic surgery and other debilitating conditions. Programs vary in frequency and intensity and include physical, occupational and speech/language therapies. Our goal is to return our participants home safely with the skills they need to continue life on their own terms.
