The complexity we are facing every day is growing…
Today a person is subjected to more information in ONE DAY than a person in the middle ages in his ENTIRE LIFE
And we ain’t seen nothing yet…
Source IDC: the total quantity of digital information created, captured and replicated worldwide. It is measured in exabytes (one exabyte= 1 billion gigabytes)
Managers spend two hours a day looking for information they need, and almost half the data is useless once they get it
Result
I do not have a complete overview of which products this customer has bought from us including
the complaints he had and if there are any outstanding invoices….
I get different data out of different applications… which data is right?
It is difficult to reuse data and content without the right
context
I am not able to act pro-active towards my target group as the information I need is dispersed in
different systems and is not available in a timely way
Provide the right user with the right
information at the right moment in the right
context
