On Thursday, the Easter Bunny visited the Eucalyptus group and cheekily, without us knowing, hid Easter eggs for all of the Eucalyptus children inside our classroom. The children were very excited with the unexpected surprise, and as a group we then reflected on what they knew about Easter.

Can you grow some long ears…..can you show me your bunny paws……can you wiggle your little bunny tail? The children became the Easter bunny and mimed making and wrapping the Easter eggs. They hopped around the room and pretended to hide the eggs before returning to the bunny kingdom. We set up the stage as a little village and the children decided on which ‘house’ they would like to live in. We then asked some children to become the Easter bunny and the children mimed and improvised a story about an Easter morning surprise. It is lovely to see how the children’s confidence has grown in drama throughout the term. The children are eager to present work in front of their peers and are always ready to learn new skills. Next term we will be working toward presenting in front of a larger audience. Stay tuned!
