Sir.I am directed to refer Indian lnstitute of Information Technology, Allahabad and to

convey the sanction of the President of India for releasing recurring and non-recurringscholarship amount of Rs.28,58,200/- (Rupees Twenty Eight Lac Fifty Eight Thousand andTwo Hundred Only) to Indian Institute of Information Technology, Allahabad, under theCentral Sector Scholarship Scheme of National Fellowship and Scholarship for HigherEducation for ST Studentsas per details given in Annexure for the year 2016-17 (Fresh 2014-15batch, Renewal of2nd year of2014-2015 batch. Renewal of 3'd year of 2014- l 5 batch, Renewalof 4'h year of 2012-13 batch, Renewal of 3'd year of20l3-14 batch, 4'r'year of 2013-14 batch,Fresh students of 2016-17, Renewal of20l5-16 online batch) during the year 2017-18, subjectto the follo*'ing terms and conditions:

(i) No UC is due for rendition. fhe scholarship for subsequent financial year will be

released only after utilization certificate in the prescribed format in respect of grant of preceding

financial year is submitted by the lnstitute to the satisfaction of this Ministry.

(ii) The Institute shall not obtain grant for the same purpose or activity from any otherMinistry or Department of Government of India or State Covernment.

(iii) The Institute shall not divert ther funds released under the scheme to another Institute orinstitution for implementation ofscheme. No funds out of this grant shall be utilized for any new

scheme for rvhich prior approval of Government has not been obtained.

(iv) The Institute shall make reservalions for SCs/STs/OBCs and the Disabled in the posts orservices under its control for the implementation of scheme on the lines indicated by the

Government of India.

(v) The Institute shall furnish to this Ministry progress report (Performance-cum-

achievemenl report) of students indicating both physical and financial achievement under the

scheme.

(vi) The accounts of the Institute shall be open to inspection by the sanctioning authority by

the lntemal Audit Wing of Office of Chief Controller of Accounts of this Ministry and

Cornptroller and Auditor General of India under Section l4 of the C&AG of lndia (Duties,

Institute is called upon to do so.

(vii) If the Govemment is not satisfied with the progress or considers that the conditions ofsanction are being violated, it reserves r:he right to terminate the sanctioned scheme or debar theInstitute from future grant or any otherfinancial assistance from the Government.

(viii) It is further certified that schola.rship amount to the grantee is sanctioned in accordancewith pattern of financial assistance approved and is in conformity with the rules and principlesof the scheme as approved by the N{inistry and provisions of General Financial Rules as

amended from time to time.

2. Unspent Balancea) Certified that the unspent balance of {O/-from the grant sanctioned during the previous

years has been adjusted in this year's grant.b) Unspent balance from this grant will be adjusted from the subsequent grant.

3. The Drawing & Disbursing Officer of this Ministry is authorized to draw an amount ofRs.28,58,200/- (Rupees Twenty Eight Lac Fifty Eight Thousand and Two Hundred Only)to Indian Institute of Information 'I'echnology, Allahabad, the grantee institution throughtelegraphically directly in their Account No. 63021700374 in State Bank of India , Branch at
