LONG INFOGRAPHIC PORTFOLIO
The Golden Ribbon reaches out
to designers world wide to
acknowledge the power of
open-source alternatives in
design, in an economically
challenging environment. The
Golden Ribbon aims to be the
Golden standard in Infographic
Design covering Illustration,
Layout and Motion in the
Caribbean and the international
world. Through this aim the
golden ribbon also promotes a
richness of cultural influences
native to Jamaica and
Caribbean in his approach and
design so as to build and help
carve out a cultural presence on
the internet
The Golden Ribbon is the name given to the
designer Phillip Taylor from Jamaica that specializes
in Infographic Design. The Golden Ribbon Primary
uses open-source tools to do his work: Inkscape,
Blender, Gimp and Font-Forge, amongst others.
Already an advocate for Inkscape.
WHO IS THE GOLDEN RIBBON? A WORD TO THE CLIENT
A designers worth lies not in
the artistic expression that he/
she communicates, but they're
ability to solve a problem.
Your dream is a door to a new
dawn, design it right.

Long Infographics span sizes above standard A4/Letter Size paper
depending on the information that the client wishes to portray. Such
graphics usually are no for print, but rather are for digital marketing
campaigns and are therefore usually given in R.G.B.
These graphics tend to be more "lengthy" (stretching vertically) than
horizontally to aid in mobile support. Long infographics tend to cost
the most due to the size, complexity and often high volume of content
that needs to be placed within the graphic.

The renewable energy target (RET) is designed toincrease the amount of renewable energy (fromaccredited sources) as a percentage of our totalgeneration mix.
Where a retailerfails to surrenderthe requirednumber ofcertificates, theypay the ShortfallCharge.

THE MARKET PRICE
1 megawatt hour = 1 certificate. Electricity retailerspurchase these certificates within a market based onsupply and demand. A certificate represents electricitygenerated from an accreditedsource.
What is a Certificate
Hang on, the Market Price hasexceeded the Shortfall Charge?
It is now cheaper for electricity retailers to pay theShortfall Charge than to meet their obligationsunder the RET (not tax adjusted), and that is whatmany have done.
