the jury room before they brought in a verdict of guilty against Powers one of the accused accessories to the murder of William Goebel Two ballots were taken the first ballot stood eleven for life im ¬ prisonment and one for hanging the second ballot all agreed on a life sentence Powers will try for a new hearing The case against Henry E Youtsey charged with the murder of William Goebel was called Monday but continued until Thursday on account of the ill ¬ ness of the defendant The attor nerys for the defense asked that the case be continued until the October term of the count on the grounds that Taylor and Finley were two very important witnesses and that they would be there to testify for Youtsey at that time but Judge Cautrill immediately overruled the motion saying There was no
