ON/OFFSHORE DRILLING SERVICES:
At Hydrodam Nigeria Limited we have a great team for drilling activities; both on and
offshore. Once Prospecting has been concluded, a geologic target is identified by our
geologist to meet the objectives of the well
➢ For a production well, the target is picked to optimize production from the well
and manage reservoir drainage.
➢ For an exploration or appraisal well, the target is chosen to confirm the existence
of a viable hydrocarbon reservoir or to ascertain its extent.
➢ For an injection well, the target is selected to locate the point of injection in a
permeable zone, which may support disposing of water or gas and /or pushing
hydrocarbons into nearby production wells
When the well path is identified, a team of geoscientists and engineers will develop a set
of presumed properties of the subsurface that will be drilled through to reach the target.
Our rigs include:
1. Land/onshore Rigs
2. Offshore Rigs: The depth of the sea floor determines the type of rig system to be
used offshore.
Submersible Rigs
In locations of shallow waters, submersible rigs are used. These can be floated to the
locations and then ballasted (filled with water) to sit on the seabed and provide a stable
drilling base.
Jack-up Rigs
In waters of depths of 150m to 300m, jack-up rigs can be used. These are usually towed to
the location by tugs and mechanically jack their legs down to the seabed, raising their
hulls clear of the water for drilling.
Semi-Submersible Rigs
In deeper waters (up to 2000m) semi-submersible rigs are used. These are big structures
supported by columns on hulls or pontoons. The hull or pontoons are ballasted to below
the water depth for the drilling mode. These are then anchored to the seabed and also
have dynamic positioning systems.

downtime
Hydrodam Nigeria Limited’s pipeline maintenance services enable your pipelines to
operate at maximum efficiency by keeping them clean. When you have to go offline, we
substantially reduce downtime.
Our mechanical, chemical, and gel cleaning methods allow us to match your pipeline
conditions and ensure debris removal at reduced cost. We clean crude oil, refined
products, water, natural gas, and specialized petrochemical pipelines, including difficult-
to-treat ethylene systems. In an emergency, when your pump breaks down, we keep
your pipeline flowing with a temporary pump during repairs. We’ll be there when you
need us with our large inventory of pumps.
When your system needs repairs, call on our experts for pipeline decommissioning,
including natural gas evacuation and nitrogen purging, to safely prepare for hot work.
Finally, before you put the line back into service, we’ll hydro test it to ensure pipeline
integrity. Pipeline drying is the next step so the product meets specifications
Our pipe laying services enables you to manage pipeline integrity threats with our
superior technology. Whether your pipeline is onshore or offshore or if it transports liquid or
gas, our in-line inspection (ILI) tools meet your integrity program objectives.
Our ILI tools identify threats, such as third-party pipeline damage, metal loss from pipeline
corrosion and pipeline mechanical damage. We have multiple product lines in our
toolbox to maximize pipeline throughput from less downtime.
We have speed control tools for optimum product throughput, inertial measurement unit
(IMU) for pipeline anomaly location and bending strain solutions, triaxial technology for
11
metal loss confidence, and excellent short, compliant tools that are adaptable for
difficult-to-inspect pipelines.
Our tethered tools inspect your pipelines even in difficult-to-access areas, allowing for a
complete MFL inspection on unpiggable pipeline segments. We can target inspection of
high-consequence areas, giving a more detailed integrity snapshot of critical pipeline
segments.
Our newest inspection solution enables you to validate cathodic protection (CP) from
inside the pipeline. We’re the only company that offers this superior solution.
Our integrated pipe laying services improve planning and eliminate duplication to save
you time and money. Instead of using many contractors for pipeline integrity and
pipeline revalidation work, we can be your single source with these services in-house.
On pipe laying integrity projects, we offer pipeline cleaning, separation equipment, pig
tracking, and inspection for reduced interface management. Our expertise in all facets
of integrated pipeline service work, from the supply of specialized cleaning chemicals to
different types of inspection technology, ensures a product tailored to your pipeline.
