1 Introduction
This is installation guide for users of Pro-FX™: Configure.

Pictures are taken on Windows 7 Operating System.
4 Supported Environment
In order to successfully run the software, we need the following environment: Administrative Privileges are required for installation of Pro-FX.
A PC with the following minimum configuration:
Processor – 32 bit or 64 bit > 1GHz RAM > 1 GB Display – Recommended Resolution 1280 X 960 or Higher. Hard Disk Drive > 2GB free space USB port – 1 for connecting CAN Adapter. Operating systems –
Microsoft Windows XP 32 bit Service Pack 3. Microsoft Windows XP 64 bit Service Pack 2. Microsoft Windows 7 32 bit Microsoft Windows 7 64 bit Microsoft Windows 8 64 bit
Adapters: CAN Adapters are mentioned in order of preferences. o PCAN Driver version 3.4.0.9248 o ValueCAN Driver version 2.4.16.0 o Softing Driver version 5.16.04 o Kvaser Driver version 7.3.7785.0

5 Installation Packages
Follow the steps below to properly install Pro-FXTM
:Configure ® software.
Note: If you have already installed software and you would like to update to a newer version please uninstall
your current version before performing the installation procedure. Section Un-Installation Procedure has the complete instructions on how to properly uninstall the software.
5.1 ProFX:Configure setup Installation
Extract downloaded package to local folder.
Above image represents path where downloaded set-up stored.
Right click on folder. Extract copied folder as shown in following figure.

5.1.1 ProFX:Configure Full Set Up
Run setup.exe if drivers for CAN adapters and .NET framework 2.0 Service Pack 1, framework 4.0 is not installed on target machine.
Extract Pro-FX configure full setup as shown in fig.
Right click on exe, run as Administrator as shown in fig.
Following dialog may appear
Click on Yes, Proceed with Installation of Pro-FX.

Driver installation for Pro-FX: Configure
The setup (setup.exe) will ask user to install all essential drivers. Click ‘Install’ to proceed.
Ignore above step if you have chosen to install setup without pre-requisites.

Proceed with Installation of Value CAN drivers Click next to complete value CAN set up.
Value CAN adapter set up complete.

Proceed with Installation of Softing CAN drivers Click next to complete Softing CAN adapter set up.

Click next to proceed with Softing CAN adapter set up.

Close user interface for Softing CAN Adapter.

Proceed with Installation of Peak CAN drivers. Click next to complete Peak CAN adapter set up. Once installation of Peak CAN is successful Proceed with installation Kvaser CAN Driver. Click on next

Choose following components while installing Kvaser.
Proceed with dialog “Choose Install Location” Click on Install button.

Proceed with Installation of Kvaser CAN drivers Click next to complete Kvaser CAN adapter set up.
Proceed with Installation of Pro-FX: Configure.

Enter user Name & Organization details.
Proceed with Destination folder dialog, Click on Next.

Proceed with dialog Pro-FX: Configure is Ready to install. Click on Install button now.
Pro-FX: Configure installation is successful, following dialog will appear.

5.1.2 ProFX:Configure Set Up without Drivers
Run setup_without_prereq.exe if drivers for CAN adapters and .NET framework 2.0 Service Pack 1, framework 4.0 are already installed. Pro-FX: Configure earlier version is uninstalled. If any of above mentioned pre-requisites is not then refer section ProFX:Configure Full Set Up to install full set up.
Go local directory where package is copied Right click & click on extract here set up exe.
Right click on exe file. Click Run as Administrator.

Click on Yes to proceed.
Click on next to proceed with installation.

Enter details user name, organization.
Setting Installation path (It is recommended that default installation path should not be changed.) Click on Next. Progress bar is shown. The setup will proceed with installation and will display following dialog. Final step Pro-FX Installer. Click on finish.

6 Un-Installation Procedure
Note: For correct uninstallation, it is important to follow steps in the same order.
6.1 Uninstall previous version of Pro-FX™: Configure
Go to Start click, type Control Panel as shown in fig.

Click on Programs and Features
All Installed Programs on computer will be displayed.
6.1.1 Uninstall Pro-FX™: Configure
Select program “Pro-FX Configure”
Clicking on uninstall button may pop-up following message box.
Click on Yes. Click on next to complete uninstall process.

Successful uninstallation of Pro-FX: Configure setup is ensured if Pro-FX: Configure setup does not be visible in control panel.
Restart Computer.
