2006 -Class B for load to 80kN
• Meets requirements of AS/NZS 3661.1 for slip resistance
This 160 amp unit offers a solution for commercial sites and places
where 100 amp solutions are not sufficient. The 160 amp disconnect
gives customers the same functionality as an above-ground solution
without the clutter.
The subterranean nature of this solution is perfect for pedestrian access-
ways and areas with a high volume of foot traffic. They also offer an aes-
thetically pleasing solution to reduce visual impact on the surrounding
landscape. Housed in an IP68 hinged electrical enclosure, the 160 amp
disconnect works exactly as it would above ground. The waterproof enclo-
sure has glanded cable entry ports and is housed in a diving bell for added
protection from moisture ingress.
The pit itself has a small footprint, is able to be installed in light traffic areas
(footpaths and driveways) and can be parked on or driven over. It can be
locked with a stainless steel key lock if required.

RAYCHEM CABLE CLAMPS BY TE
Tappat cable clamps have a patented design which optimises clamping
force at both the attachment point, and the cable by securing each clamp half separately. Cables can be aligned and located in the bottom
half of the clamp prior to the final tightening.
Clamps come complete with all fasteners, no chance of coming up short on the job. Available in single, double and trefoil configurations.
• Stacked dual application• Dual cable application• 3 x 3 configuration• Pyramid Installation• 3 phase pad mount kit

1000V TOOL RANGE
All our IPC connectors have tinned copper teeth so are suited to both Aluminium and Copper conductor (unless otherwise stated). These connectors are range taking and therefore reduce inventory requirements.
DIELECTRIC STRENGTH TESTThe dipped insulated tools are individually given a dielectric strength test. The marking double triangle means that the tools with 10,000V AC were approved for work up to 1,000V.COLD HIT TESTThe toughness of the PVC material is checked by dropping a weight onto tools cooled to -25°C. Under this condition the insulation must still absorb hits and impacts without breaking or splintering.INSULATION RESISTANCE TESTAfter 24 hours of underwater storage the tools are - at simultaneous checking of leakage - tested with AC 10,000 V for three minutes. During this time, neither a breakdown nor flashover may occurPRESSURE TESTUnder a pressure load of 20 Nm and a temperature of 70° C is no disruptive discharge allowed, when tools tested with a voltage of AC 5,000 V.ADHESIVE POWER TESTThe adhesion of the PVC coating checked for pliers after storage of 168 hours and 70 °C with a tensile force of 500 Nm. The insulating material must remain firmly bonded to the base tool.FLAME RESISTANCE TESTThe insulation material used is of a flame resistant plastic, which excludes any risk of fire.
Our 1kV rated tools have been made in Germany for over 20 years and feature a dual layer of insulation for easy visual inspection. Durable and robust, they undergo rigorous testing to ensure they meet the highest possible safety standards.
All Safety Tools are stamped and signed according the Standard IEC / EN 60900: 2012 or additional with VDE / GS, and also feature item number, size, manufacturing year & manufacturer, 1000V & double triangle respectively VDE-Sign.
