Dear Parent/Guardian of Current Grade 3 Student: On the reverse side of this letter is an application for student enrollment in the Jack Abrams STEM Magnet School for the 2017-18 school year. An electronic version of the application can be completed and submitted at https://goo.gl/forms/94KRy9QdwkThUuIs1. It can also be accessed directly via the District website (www.hufsd.edu) under Quick Clicks for Parents. Please be advised of the following: In 2017-18, the school will include students in grades 4 through 6. Students on the 2016-2017 wait list will be given priority for open seats, but must reapply for

2017-2018 by the deadline below to retain that priority. Once enrolled, students at Jack Abrams STEM will maintain their seats through grade 6.

NOTE: For the 2018-19 school year, all students entering grade 5 may choose between the Jack Abrams STEM Magnet and Woodhull schools, each with a similar core instructional program, but with different schedules and emphases. (Information on the elementary reorganization and pending transition can be accessed at http://www.hufsd.edu/articles/2016/december/13a.html.) An informational meeting/open house will be held at Jack Abrams on Monday, January 23, 2017 at 7:00 PM, beginning in the school’s auditorium. The event will include presentations and a tour of the facility, as well as time for questions. The application should be submitted or postmarked by February 17, 2017. It can be completed and submitted in one of three ways:
