HUNTINGTON CREEK RECOVERY PROJECT

• On June 26, 2012 a lightning strike started the Seeley Fire in Emery County. The fire burned 48,050 acres, of which 30,000 acres were in Emery County. Fire suppression costs were $8,500,000.00.

The Seeley Fire burned at high intensity on the steep slopes of several drainages in the Manti-

La Sal National Forest that drain directly to State Road 31 and Huntington Creek.
