Dear Dee,

On behalf of the parish of Our Lady of Peace I

wish to thank you from the bottom of my heart for

your many years of Music Ministry. You said

‘my musical talent is a God given gift’ and our

Lord must be pleased at the generous way you

shared your gift.

St. Augustine says he who sings prays twice.

You have helped many a soul to pray twice. Such a

deed won’t go unrewarded. What the Lord has in

store for you is a mystery, but what we have in

store for you will soon be made visible-a party!

Thank you Dee, we love you and appreciate all you

have done-now let’s plan the party!

In the love of Jesus,

Father Bob Smith and all the parish

Dear Fellow Parishioners,

I am using this method to inform my Church

Family that I will no longer be on the Music

Ministry Schedule at Our Lady of Peace. In the

seventy plus years that I have provided music

for many Baptisms, Weddings, funerals and

liturgies I have seen many changes. (I shudder

with disbelief as I recall the Latin Masses we

sang back in the day!) Many of you know my

musical talent is a God-given gift and it has

given me hours of pleasure in giving it back to

the One who gifted me with it.

From the bottom of my heart, I thank you for

your tolerance, generosity, kindness,

cooperation and patience.

With Gratitude,

Delores (Dee) von Ruden

P.S.-Keep a song in your heart!

Divorced, Separated, Widowed! Consider Beginning Experience (BE) – a Peer Group offering hope and support by listening, accompanying and healing. BE has a pre-Weekend weekly support program called “Coping with Life Alone”. We would like to get this program established in Grand Forks. We have scheduled an information meeting on Monday, Jan-uary 20, 2020 at 7:00 PM in the basement of St. Mi-chael Catholic Church, 524 5 Ave N. At this meeting we hope to learn if there is sufficient interest to es-tablish this program in Grand Forks. We would also invite recent graduates of the BE weekend who may be interested in assisting the program by facilitating or other volunteer work. Beginning Experience though its origin is from the Catholic Church has from the start been open to persons of any faith. For more information on BE see the Web sites: “beginningexperience.org” or www.beginningexperience-easternnd.org. You can text me, Monsignor Daniel Pilon at 701-361-2051 or email [email protected].
