Reflections

Job 42:1-17 KJV (1) Then Job answered the LORD, and said,

(2) I know that thou canst do every thing, and that no thought can be withholden from thee. (3) Who is he that hideth counsel without knowledge? therefore have I uttered that I understood not; things too wonderful for me, which I knew not. (4) Hear, I beseech thee, and I will speak: I will demand of thee, and declare thou unto me. (5) I have heard of thee by the hearing of the ear: but now mine eye seeth thee. (6) Wherefore I abhor myself, and repent in dust and ashes.

Reflections  Luke 5:1-11 KJV (5) And Simon answering said unto him,

Master, we have toiled all the night, and have taken nothing: nevertheless at thy word I will let down the net. (6) And when they had this done, they inclosed a great multitude of fishes: and their net brake. (7) And they beckoned unto their partners, which were in the other ship, that they should come and help them. And they came, and filled both the ships, so that they began to sink. (8) When Simon Peter saw it, he fell down at Jesus' knees, saying, Depart from me; for I am a sinful man, O Lord.

Reflections Isaiah 6:1-7 KJV (1) In the year that king Uzziah died I

saw also the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and his train filled the temple. (2) Above it stood the seraphims: each one had six wings; with twain he covered his face, and with twain he covered his feet, and with twain he did fly. (3) And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, is the LORD of hosts: the whole earth is full of his glory.

Page 5: Hunge: The Key to Satisfaction

Reflections

Isaiah 6:1-7 KJV (4) And the posts of the door moved at the

voice of him that cried, and the house was filled with smoke. (5) Then said I, Woe is me! for I am undone; because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips: for mine eyes have seen the King, the LORD of hosts. (6) Then flew one of the seraphims unto me, having a live coal in his hand, which he had taken with the tongs from off the altar: (7) And he laid it upon my mouth, and said, Lo, this hath touched thy lips; and thine iniquity is taken away, and thy sin purged.

God reveals His plans

Psalms 25:14 KJV (14) The secret of the LORD is with them

that fear him; and he will shew them his covenant.

Psalms 25:14 GW (14) The LORD advises those who fear him.

He reveals to them the intent of his promise.

Psalms 25:14 BBE (14) The secret of the Lord is with those in

whose hearts is the fear of him; he will make his agreement clear to them.

Reflections

Job 42:1-17 KJV (7) And it was so, that after the LORD had

spoken these words unto Job, the LORD said to Eliphaz the Temanite, My wrath is kindled against thee, and against thy two friends: for ye have not spoken of me the thing that is right, as my servant Job hath. (8) Therefore take unto you now seven bullocks and seven rams, and go to my servant Job, and offer up for yourselves a burnt offering; and my servant Job shall pray for you:

Page 8: Hunge: The Key to Satisfaction

Reflections

Job 42:1-17 KJV for him will I accept: lest I deal with you

after your folly, in that ye have not spoken of me the thing which is right, like my servant Job. (9) So Eliphaz the Temanite and Bildad the Shuhite and Zophar the Naamathite went, and did according as the LORD commanded them: the LORD also accepted Job. (10) And the LORD turned the captivity of Job, when he prayed for his friends: also the LORD gave Job twice as much as he had before.

Page 9: Hunge: The Key to Satisfaction

Reflections Job 42:1-17 KJV (11) Then came there unto him all his brethren,

and all his sisters, and all they that had been of his acquaintance before, and did eat bread with him in his house: and they bemoaned him, and comforted him over all the evil that the LORD had brought upon him: every man also gave him a piece of money, and every one an earring of gold. (12) So the LORD blessed the latter end of Job more than his beginning: for he had fourteen thousand sheep, and six thousand camels, and a thousand yoke of oxen, and a thousand she asses.(13) He had also seven sons and three daughters.

Satisfaction

The key to satisfaction in life & ministry is hunger

Ecclesiastes 5:10 KJV(10) He that loveth silver shall not be

satisfied with silver; nor he that loveth abundance with increase: this is also vanity.

Matthew 5:6 KJV(6) Blessed are they which do hunger

and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.

Page 11: Hunge: The Key to Satisfaction

Satisfaction Once you feel you have arrived or satisfied then

the door of true satisfaction is closed to you. God then goes all the way to bring us the things

we need make us satisfied. Every thing we need is here on earth God is not

sending anything from heaven because Ecclesiastes 1:9 KJV (9) The thing that hath been, it is that which

shall be; and that which is done is that which shall be done: and there is no new thing under the sun.

Everything we need is hereAmos 8:11-12 KJV (11) Behold, the days come, saith the

Lord GOD, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the LORD: (12) And they shall wander from sea to sea, and from the north even to the east, they shall run to and fro to seek the word of the LORD, and shall not find it.

Everything you need is here God will not send anything down from heaven

Page 13: Hunge: The Key to Satisfaction

Everything we need is here Romans 10:6-10 KJV (6) But the righteousness which is of faith

speaketh on this wise, Say not in thine heart, Who shall ascend into heaven? (that is, to bring Christ down from above:) (7) Or, Who shall descend into the deep? (that is, to bring up Christ again from the dead.)(8) But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; (9) That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved

Page 14: Hunge: The Key to Satisfaction

Everything we need is here Luke 16:25-31 KJV (27) Then he said, I pray thee therefore, father,

that thou wouldest send him to my father's house: (28) For I have five brethren; that he may testify unto them, lest they also come into this place of torment. (29) Abraham saith unto him, They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them. (30) And he said, Nay, father Abraham: but if one went unto them from the dead, they will repent.(31) And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead.

Don’t reject the messenger just because……

Page 15: Hunge: The Key to Satisfaction

The Messenger To deliver his message God has chosen to

use men not angels Acts 10:22 & 32KJV (22) And they said, Cornelius the centurion,

a just man, and one that feareth God, and of good report among all the nation of the Jews, was warned from God by an holy angel to send for thee into his house, and to hear words of thee… (32) Send therefore to Joppa, and call hither Simon, whose surname is Peter; he is lodged in the house of one Simon a tanner by the sea side: who, when he cometh, shall speak unto thee.

Page 16: Hunge: The Key to Satisfaction

How do you hunger? To Hunger you must refuse to be satisfied or

be dissatisfied with what or where you are in life

To Hunger you must refuse to be satisfied or be dissatisfied with where you are in God

Refuse to accept this as the best your life could be.

Satisfaction cuts off the supply line from God 1 Peter 2:1-5 KJV (1) Wherefore laying aside all malice, and all

guile, and hypocrisies, and envies, and all evil speakings,(2) As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:

Page 17: Hunge: The Key to Satisfaction

Why are we not Hungry

Your hunger or satisfaction has nothing to do with your career, titles or position etc

John 4:30-34 KJV (30) Then they went out of the city, and

came unto him. (31) In the mean while his disciples prayed him, saying, Master, eat. (32) But he said unto them, I have meat to eat that ye know not of. (33) Therefore said the disciples one to another, Hath any man brought him ought to eat? (34) Jesus saith unto them, My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work.

Page 18: Hunge: The Key to Satisfaction

Why are we not Hungry

No tapes, no books, no desperation to know God! No effort to find or know this God anymore

Psalms 23:5 KJV (5) Thou preparest a table before me in the

presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.

We are eating and satisfied with the wrong things, Eating food that is not God’s best

John 4:(34) Jesus saith unto them, My meat is to do

the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work.

Page 19: Hunge: The Key to Satisfaction

Why are we not Hungry John 4:34 MSG (34) Jesus said, "The food that keeps me

going is that I do the will of the One who sent me, finishing the work he started.

John 4:34 Darby (34) Jesus says to them, My food is that I

should do the will of him that has sent me, and that I should finish his work.

John 4:34 ISV (34) Jesus told them, "My food is doing

the will of the one who sent me and completing his work.

Page 20: Hunge: The Key to Satisfaction

excuses John 4:31-38 ISV (34) Jesus told them, "My food is doing the will of

the one who sent me and completing his work. (35) You say, don't you, 'In four more months the harvest will be here?' Look, I tell you, open your eyes and observe that the fields are ready for harvesting! (36) The one who harvests is already receiving his wages and gathering a crop for eternal life, so that the one who sows and the one who harvests may rejoice together. (37) For in this respect the saying is true: 'One person sows, and another person harvests.‘ (38) I have sent you to harvest what you have not labored for. Others have labored, and you have entered into their labor."

Page 21: Hunge: The Key to Satisfaction

Until you are hungry

You will not see, You will not hear. God loves our hunger and desperation for Him

Acts 28:23-29 KJV (23) And when they had appointed him a day,

there came many to him into his lodging; to whom he expounded and testified the kingdom of God, persuading them concerning Jesus, both out of the law of Moses, and out of the prophets, from morning till evening. (24) And some believed the things which were spoken, and some believed not. (25) And when they agreed not among themselves, they departed, after that Paul had spoken one word, Well spake the Holy Ghost by Esaias the prophet unto our fathers,

Page 22: Hunge: The Key to Satisfaction

Its back to seeing and hearing Acts 28:23-29 KJV (26) Saying, Go unto this people, and say, Hearing

ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and not perceive: (27) For the heart of this people is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes have they closed; lest they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them. (28) Be it known therefore unto you, that the salvation of God is sent unto the Gentiles, and that they will hear it. (29) And when he had said these words, the Jews departed, and had great reasoning among themselves.
