Some questions to consider:What type of buildings do we have? What kind of shops do we have on this street? Is there a park? Are there any houses on this street?

Managed Features

Watch this YouTube video:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hYQJx1Iu7h4&feature=youtu.beEngage in whole group discussion through answering these questions:What does it mean to be organic? What does the farm grow? What does the word ‘ecosystem’ mean? What is the purpose of each animal? (pig, cows, dogs, geese, chickens)Do you think that this farm is managed my humans or animals?

Natural Features

Look at the Australian Indigenous Dreamtime story below called the Rainbow Serpent:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pCuuRRrfOXoWhat do you think of their idea of place and how nature came about? What is their idea of place?

5. Head outside onto the concrete and select a piece of chalk6. In pairs recreate either a constructed, natural or managed feature using the chalk on the

concrete.7. Explain your drawing to the teacher
