Aerial Agriculture LLC
Aerial Agriculture uses specialized cameras to convert images into valuable vegetation indices that represent crop health and allow agronomists to determine the amount of nitrogen and fertilizer that needs to be applied in specific locations throughout the field. "Our technology can pinpoint crop areas that need more attention, which allows farmers to then apply more inputs and address potential crop issues immediately, as opposed to after the fact," said Austin Deardorff, Aerial Agriculture co-founder

“The chemicals used by the flavor and fragrance industry are some of the most expensive and high-value substances produced in today's market," he said. "Currently those chemicals are made ” “from petroleum. We have developed a method to convert wood lignin into valuable chemicals for both the flavor and fragrance industry at a lower cost and a method to improve production for the biofuel industry.”

Software Tools for Crop Yield Prediction and Optimization
[email protected] or [email protected].
"We have developed a tool that uses digital data sources like soil and landscape properties, weather, cropping patterns and yield history to predict the size of the U.S. corn crop from sub-county to multistate scales on a daily basis," Joern said. "By providing more localized data, we can use a similar tool to predict the optimum in-season fertilizer nitrogen rate for corn at scales smaller than 1/10th of an acre."
* Regional Crop Yield Estimation System * Soil nitrogen transformation and loss model * State-specific phosphorus risk assessment tools
