Conclusions

HS2 provides significant connectivity benefits for WM

Providing the right connectivity to HS2 will:

Ensure effective access to both the HS2 Network and

associated development from the across

Support growth across the wider region

Improve intra-LEP connectivity between towns and cities to

favour access to employment and services

Better match labour supply/demand across the West

Midlands thanks to greater mobility

Make best use of capacity released by HS2 on the existing

rail network

Release capacity on the road network by transferring

passenger and freight trips to rail and public transport links
