High School Groups

We have an exciting event planned for all students 5th-12th grades called Connect Weekend Oct 1-2 at the Outback and in host homes! The purpose of this event is to connect new students to Overflow and hopefully introduce them to Jesus. Our theme for this year is UNCOMMON COMMUNITY, and our speaker will do two messages: 1. Centered on Christ 2. Focused on Others. Keep in mind, the event is for 5-12th grade but 5-6th graders will not be going to host homes overnight. 5-6th graders will be picked up by their parents on Saturday night at the Outback. Also, for 7-12thgrades, the overnight portion is not required but will help build community among the students in each grade. There will be several leaders assigned to each host home in addition to the host home parents. What: Overnight event in host homes (5-6th not staying in host homes) Cost: $20 Inflatable games (obstacle course, wrecking ball)! Gospel Project Overflow utilizes Christ-centered, chronological curriculum that takes our students on a journey through the storyline of Scripture, from Genesis to Revelation. Students get to discover the big picture of what God has been doing throughout redemptive history, and what it means for them.

Overflow Food Drive We love to pursue the challenge given to us in Matthew 25:40! As a result, every fall, the students and families at Overflow collect non-perishable food items to assist needy families in Bell County. The drive begins on Sunday, September 25th. Please drop your donations in the Outback lobby!

C-Groups C-Groups are an awesome opportunity for your student to get connected with other students in our youth ministry. Students (same gender and grade) meet weekly w/an adult leader. Groups consist of Bible study, prayer, fellowship, accountability, & fun. Groups meet on Wednesdays @ the Outback Youth Building 6-8PM.

Dear Parents and Students, Here are some highlights of what’s happening this fall! Overflow Sunday Mornings: James We’ll be studying the letter by James, the brother of Jesus. James didn’t even believe his own brother was the Son of God until AFTER the resurrection. Come hear about what God has to say to the church through him. Community Groups Launch Sept. 7, 7-9 pm Outback The body of Christ is meant to live in community. Join us Wednesdays 7-9 pm Outback and bring some friends! We share a meal together, then have discussion groups centered on God’s Word. Equip Groups In November and December, Community Groups become Equip Groups for five straight weeks. These groups will focus on topics like How to Study the Bible, The Gospel for Muslims and Media & Entertainment: Living Wisely. NYC Mission Trip Interest Meeting Oct. 16 12:30-2 pm Outback. We are planning a mission trip to NYC for July 15-22, 2017. Parents and students need to attend if you are interested in this trip. Our first deposit for this trip will be due soon after this meeting so lets get the ball rolling!
