    Discipline means working, cooperating

    & behaving in a normal & orderly wayas any responsible person wouldexpect an employee to do.

    Indiscipline generally arises becauseof:Victimization on part of employers.

    Bad service conditions, defective communicationby superiors & ineffective leadership.

    Absenteeism, insubordination, dishonesty,disloyalty, violation of plant rules, gambling,damage to Company property etc.

    Gross immoral act, willful insubordination ordisobedience to any lawful order, taking or givingbribe, riotous or disorderly behaviour on part of

    workmen.

    A. Framing & Issuing Chargesheet

    i. Giving details of misconductii. Time for reply

    B. Receiving the defendants explanation

    i. Explanation in reasonable time.ii. To be allowed access to documents.

    iii. If reply is satisfactory, management maywithdraw the charges.

    iv. If not satisfactory, enquiry to proceed

    E. Findings of Enquiry Officer

    i. Enquiry Officer to submit his findings

    F. Decision of Disciplinary Authority

    i. The authority to decide if he accepts the findings

    B. FinesC. Suspension

    i. Suspend from work till enquiry iscompleted.

    ii. A subsistence allowance equal to onehalf of basic wage, DA & otherallowances for 90 days.

    D. Dismissali. To be done after conducting an enquiryinto allegation provided misconduct isserious.

    Termination of Employment

    Voluntary abandonment of service by the employee.

    Resignation by the employee

    Discharge by notice thereof given by the employer

    Discharge or dismissal as punishment for misconduct

    Misconduct of such a character that the

    punishment is appropriate & provided for eitherunder standing orders or otherwise.

    An enquiry must be held in respect of misconduct.

    Findings must be based on evidence recorded &

    not baseless or biased. Punishment passed against the worker must be

    bonafide & made in good faith.

    Retirement reaching super annuation age.
