HR’S NEED TO MAKE THEIR PRESENCE FELT IN THE ORGANISATIONS

A company cannot become most favorite employer if it doesn’t have a skilled Human Resource Department. There are many things to handle for an HR beyond Recruitment. Beyond just recruitment, HR’s are also expected to focus on employees’ training, engagement and motivation, performance appraisal, communication, workplace safety and many more. But somehow, HR’s are losing their presence and often left ignored in most of the organisation.

Here is a list of most important responsibilities HR’s are expected to handle and show their effectiveness.

Relationship with employees

“An effective HR is one who is open to hear the problems, quick in providing feedback and neutral during conflicts.”

This is the first and foremost activity required by HR’s to make their presence felt in the organisation.

Every employee must be comfortable in sharing their vows or concerns with their HR managers.

Managing Technical Skills

“HR’s are expected to take the initiative and make employees adapt to the changes in technology; and help them to upgrade their skills across all

levels.”

Almost all the organizations are using technology in some or the other business working. Though technology is

not the main run, but change in technology is going to pose the challenge.

Developing Leadership

“HR’s need to give emphasis on recognising employees with good performance, good business knowledge and better soft skills; and help

them to grow as leaders.”

Although, on paper companies describe the leadership models applied in the organisation; but in reality they are

not giving much importance in developing individual leaderships within business verticals or within projects as well.

Rewards and Benefits

“For a lower attrition rate, it is the responsibility of an HR to keep the employees motivated in the most deserving manner”

According to various studies, career advancement opportunities and rewards are the major factors in terms

of attracting and retaining talents. Most of the organizations are either neglecting it totally or have failed to

effectively reward & recognise the right talent.

Compliance with Policies

“An important role of HR’s is to keep a check whether employees are in compliance with the policies or if there is any conflict arising”

HR’s are given the heavy duty of writing the policies for majority of business functionalities. These policies

are supposed to be followed by every individual who is associated with the organisation across all levels.

Managing Change

“Change is inevitable. HR’s need to quickly and effectively communicate it to the employees and make sure they are able to adapt to the changes in the

organisation”

Business environment is volatile. Consumer expectations are changing day by day. Competition is becoming

more challenging. And all this is leading to interventions in terms of turnaround, restructuring,

downsizing etc. Effectiveness of these changes depends on how easily employees are able to adapt in a healthy

manner.

In a few days, additional modules are going to be added in Applicant Tracking System. Adapting to the demands

of our customers, thisonline recruitment management is expanding to become a complete enterprise

management system – which includes employee management, leave management, appraisals, payroll and much

more.
