iOS:

Go to App Store

Search for HPE Visual Remote Guidance

Follow the prompts to Get, Install, and Open VRG Android:

Navigate to www.myroom.hpe.com/VRG on the device

Click VRG Android for wearables to download the package

When download is complete, tap it to install

Click Open button Give the 6-character registration key to your organization administrator

Log into MyRoom tray

Click ? at lower right corner

Select HPE MyRoom Portal from menu

Click your organization’s name

Click Manage Devices in the VRG Devices box

Click Add Device

Enter remote user’s 6-character registration key

Click the Continue button

Edit Display Name so remote user can be identified in room’s People panel

Check room(s) that VRG device will be allowed to join o Optional:

Add key(s) for additional rooms

Choose automatic preferences for the device

Click the Continue button

After device is registered

Open room from registered remote device

Click OK to complete registration

To open a room after device is registered, tap

VRG icon on device’s home page

If access to only 1 room was granted, the designated room will open on the device

If access to multiple rooms was granted, the list of available rooms will open on the device

Microphone

Speaker

Webcam

Zoom o Zoom in and out by whole number factors o Enabled if device’s back camera supports it o Disabled for front cameras even if device supports it

Video toolbar is available when webcam is on

Switch Camera o If device has both front and back camera

Light o If device has a flashlight

Snap o Uploads snapshot from webcam to room’s content panel o Subject matter expert can display and annotate snaps in

center viewing area o Use them to help direct the remote user or as training material

for learners

When content is displayed while remote camera is streaming

Streaming video is moved to corner of the room so you can see both

Tap video to move it to center stage

Tap content to move it to center stage

Select Request Audio Video Control from menu

Allow remote user hands-free operation of remote device:

Turn these features on/off o Microphone o Speaker o Webcam o Flashlight

Adjust volume

Zoom webcam view in/out

Take snap of streaming video

End control

Use the method for closing or exiting apps on the device

Right-click device user in People panel

Select Eject from room from menu

Tap the three dots to show the Chat icon

Tap the Chat icon

Type your message into the field across the top

Tap Return or Done on your keyboard

Your own chat blocks will have green background


Task lists

Subject matter expert’s MyRoom account must have a MyRoom Assist subscription.

Add task list


Right-click in Content panel

Select Add from menu

Select Task List from submenu

Click the task list in the Content panel to display in center viewing area

Click Edit icon

Click Add Step icon

Type a title for first step of the process

Type instructions for first step of the process o Optional:

Use HTML coding to set the visual style of the instructions Drag and drop image file to illustrate step

Add steps until entire process is outlined

Click Back arrow at any time to see how they look

While a task list is displayed subject matter expert and remote users can scroll through the steps independently.

Log into MyRoom account


Go to www.myroom.hpe.com

Log in with your MyRoom credentials

Click organization name to see o VRG Devices o Users o Organization Settings

Manage devices

Click device name to see registration details o Edit any information o Click Save to save changes

o Click Delete to remove device from organization

Click Manage Devices in VRG Devices box

Click Maps to locate a remote device that is turned on

Click device name to see registration details




Manage users

Click Manage/Invite Users in Users box


Click a User Group o Either Administrators o Or Device Managers

Delete user: click red X

Add user: enter e-mail address and click Add User icon

Edit permissions: click user name

Click Add User(s) on User Groups page

Add one or multiple users manually: o Check one or both user groups o Type e-mail address(es)

o Click Send Invite


Import new users from CSV file: o Check Do you want to upload from CSV? o Enter name of e-mail address column in CSV file o Browse to CSV file o Click Upload o Check one or both user groups o Edit e-mail address(es) as needed

o Click Send Invite

Click a user name

See or change permissions

Delete user from organization



Organization settings

Click View Subscription Details in Organization Settings box to see o Start date of VRG subscription o Expiration date of VRG subscription o Maximum number of devices that can be registered to

organization

Click Edit Settings in Organization Settings box to see or edit o Administrator’s name o Administrator’s e-mail address o Alternate contact’s e-mail address
