0.0.0 GENEREAL

The entire work of electrics shall be carried out as per details given in various schedules, specifications and data sheets enclosed, relevant Indian Standards, regulations, code of practices, requirement of various statutory bodies, manufacturer's instruction manual of individual equipment/items, etc. and as directed by HPCL’s engineers at site, required for the successful completion and handing over the entire job. All equipments/items covered under scope of purchaser/owner will be made available at owner's store.

The contractor's scope shall include supply and installation of all items, accessories and materials required for unpacking, transportation, checking, safe custody, storage, installation, erection, testing, commissioning and handing over of the following items to the entire satisfaction of HPCL.

The scope of work shall also include unpacking, checking of components of supply equipments/ items, listing and handing over of short supplied items to engineer- in charge, handling at site, inspection, assembly and fixing of loose items, interpanel wiring, checking of wiring as per manufacture's drawing, necessary rewiring and interlock wirings if any, as directed by Engineer -in-charge. Supply of associated erection materials and accessories such as bolts, nuts, washers, wherever required and assembly of sections and loose parts supplied along with the equipment, fixing and grouting of foundation channels of panels, etc.. and miscellaneous items if any required for the completion of work are included in the scope of work. The contractor shall carry out all the pre commissioning tests at site on all equipments covered under the scope of this contract as per the relevant standards and as directed by Engineer-in-charge.

Primary and secondary injection tests on all CT's, relays and meters shall be carried out by the contractor at site as required / as suggested by Engineer in charge. CMRI certificates to be furnished for supply of flame proof equipment. Testing and commissioning shall include all standard tests applicable.

EXCLUSIONS

Associated cabling, earthing, termination and structural works are excluded for which separate unit rates quoted shall be applicable, unless otherwise stated below.

A SUPPLY & INSTALLATION OF ITEMS 11kV DOUBLE POLE STRUCTURE ( Items 1 & 2) Supply, installation, testing and commissioning of 11kV Double Pole structure

complete with galvanized steel poles and all components like strain and post insulators, 10kA lightning arrestors, 3 pole gang operated Air break switch of 400A rating with all accessories, drop out fuses, fuse elements, CT-PT Unit, conductors, structurals, jelly filling, clamps, earthing down conductors, Metallic wire fencing, pad lockable gate and 3 Nos. 11kV Danger Notice boards etc. as per specifications including termination of over-head conductors, carrying out all miscellaneous civil works connected with the job, necessary excavation and supply, fabrication, painting and installation of MS structurals required, are included in the scope of this item. Necessary jumper connections from the DP structure/post to Electricity Board’s line structure are included in this item.

Contractor shall prepare the dimensioned drawing showing clearances, fixing

arrangements conductor sizes etc. in line with codes of practice being followed by the local Electrical Inspectorate. This drawing shall be got approved by HPCL before starting the erection.

(Items 25 to 27) Testing, commissioning and handing over of the following FLP/Ordinary, Weather proof, 3 phase squirrel cage induction motors as per specifications/data sheets/drawings. The scope shall include checking location of terminal box and relocating if necessary, megger testing, greasing, setting direction of rotation, no load run and load run tests for motors and submission of test reports. However transportation and mechanical erection of motors and cable terminations are excluded from the scope.

Installation, testing, commissioning and handing over of following sizes of cables as per enclosed specifications/datasheets/drawings. The scope shall include laying, dressing, fixing on cable trays/racks/risers/walls/columns/ pipes,structurals, buried under ground, inside concrete trench filled with sand, clamping, tying, tagging etc. The rates quoted shall include supply of all accessories required such as cable clamps, sealing compounds/bushes, nylon chords, bolts, nuts, washers etc. as required. Rate includes supply and fixing of aluminium tags at 15M intervals where ever applicable; but shall exclude supply of cables, pipes, cable trays, structural items, cable terminations, cable glands, excavation and refilling of underground trenches. The scope shall also include preparation of cable schedule, transportation of cables at site and return of the unused cables rolled up in drums to stores. Cables shall be taken through GI pipes at road crossings. Power & Street Light cables can be taken through same pipe, but separate pipe shall be used for Control cable, Telephone cable, DC cable & Firefighting cable.

D EARTHING & LIGHTNING PROTECTION ( Items 160 to 166)

Installation, testing, commissioning and handing over of earth conductors/ strips of following types as per enclosed specifications/datasheets/drawings. The scope shall include laying, dressing, fixing on cable trays/racks/risers /walls/structures/columns/trenches/buried underground, through pipes etc.

The scope shall include end termination, jointing, supply of fixing clamps, binding

wires, bolts, nuts, washers, paints, etc. If separate structural supports, pipes, excavations and refilling for laying earth conductors are required, the same shall be covered by separate rates. The jointing of earth conductors shall be by bolting/welding/bracing as indicated in enclosed drawings. The welded portion shall be covered with bitumen compound. Installation of earth strip shall include termination, jointing by bolting and bracing etc. Conductors required for gland earthing shall be included in the following items. As far as possible earthing cables shall be taken along the power cable. (Supply of Earthing cable shall be arranged by Owner).

Supply, Fabrication, fixing and epoxy painting of structural steel items such as ISMC channels, MS angles, Flats of different types as per specifications/data sheets/drawings issued for pedestals, lighting fixture supports, DB supports, PB station supports, supports for other equipments, etc. The painting shall be with two coats of epoxy paint over two coats of suitable epoxy primer after cleaning with wire brush.

The erection or fixing of structural supports shall include chipping, cement grouting, drilling holes on structurals members, replastering of walls, floors, ceilings, columns, etc. of concrete or brick work. The scope shall include supply of structurals, bolts, nuts, paint, primer, cement, sand, etc. The concrete footing for supports shall be extra under separate item as indicated elsewhere.
