Tech Data EDI Changes

What changes will Tech Data make to their EDI feed?There will be no changes to EDI mapping, structure, etc.. However, there will be data changes to the “Global Manufacturer” field, not used by most customers, that will reflect the new designations of “HP Inc.” and “HP ENT” for HP PPS and HP EG respectively.

What transactions will be effected by the split?

No EDI transactions will be affected by the split. As mentioned above, the only changes will be in our Global Manufacturer field to identify the designations between HP Inc. and Hewlett-Packard Enterprise.

Will we (resellers) need to make changes to consume Tech Data’s new information and changes?

There will be no mapping or structure changes to Tech Data’s EDI feed. Without having insight into our reseller partners’ systems, Tech Data can only make the assumptions below:• When interacting with Tech Data’s EDI service, no changes will need to be made to consume

our information.• When interacting directly with HP, there may be requirements to ensure a proper B2B

Will there be any delays to the delivery of Tech Data’s EDI catalogs?After the transition the first catalogs will be delivered on Sunday, August 2nd, 2015. After that, they will be delivered on Saturday as usual. Depending on your EDI schedule, adjustments may be needed to retrieve and consume outside of the standard delivery time. Please let us know if you are unable to consume a full file on Sunday or are not able to adjust your standard schedule.
